With Amaludron getting a volcanic subspecies I think it’s safe to say Agnaktor isn’t coming back, at least at launch anyway

First Astalos and now Seregious, this Expansion is getting better by the minute. All the new mechanics and changes are great too, even through i am too smallbrain to understand all of them.

Very happy to see Seregios back! And I'm loving the look of the new Somnacath species. My only complaint is why add a magma version of amuldron when we have Agnaktor? We have his baby version and he is very unique, yet we get a copy+paste amuldron. They should have made his sub-species poison based or something. I just want Agnaktor back :(

In case anyone was looking for switch skills/silkbinds in this trailer. I don't main every weapon so I might have gotten some specifics wrong, so feel free to drop any corrections or omissions. I'll reference GU since most of the switch skills/silkbinds derive from that game. Note that it's all my speculation. Also, some timestamps maybe be ahead by 1 seconds since some skills were shown for less than a second. 0:33 Forward wirebug dash with SnS unsheathed? Could be NPC exclusive. Not sure about this one. 1:34 Switch skill swap. Note that the website states that the swap evade can only be used AFTER swapping movesets. So it's moreso a repositioning skill to run away after you switch, and not a spammable roll. Likely added since monster aggression seems to have been increased, and the swap animation is kind of long (46 frames or 3/4 of a second) and keeps you rooted in place. 1:39 SnS Chaos Oil. Was also in the previous trailer. 1:40 Hammer new silkbind/switch skill. Seems similar to a HH type of recital. Could be some kind of buff that grants shockwaves to your charge attacks, like Impact Press. 1:41 IG Aerial Extract hunter/bug Majeure? Or something entirely new? Not sure. But it shows the hunter aiming the glaive which means its ready to shoot the kinsect. 1:42 CB Energy blade/healing phials. Both use the same animation at the end so not 100% sure. But I'm leaning towards Energy blade. 1:42 HBG new switch skill. SEIGE MODE IS BACK! Just hope its not ridiculously broken like GU. 1:43 GL new switch skill. Reminds me of dragon blast a little. GL go boom. 1:44 Starburst Bug. New endemic life that requires you to setup like a trap. Can be activated by attacks and then explodes, staggers, and inflicts fireblight. 1:46 DB new switch skill. Seems to be a new dash attack that repositions you while attacking during each spin. Reminiscent of blood wind. 1:47 Lance new switch skill. Shield charge/improved guard dash? Maybe inspired by shield assault. 1:48 Bow new silkbind. Seems to be some kind of grapple shot that tethers you to the monster. Similar to the twin vine from Lance. 1:49 HH new silkbind. I honestly have no idea what this one is from just this trailer. Maybe it's the ending animation of that evasive jump silkbind from the event showcase. 1:50 LBG new silkbind. Allows you to shoot a (cluster/explosive?) shot) and then jump out (with likely I-frames). Remind me of the bow's focus shot in base rise. 1:51 GS new switch skill. Some type of buff (maybe it gives you 4th charge level?). 1:52 SA new silkbind. A counter attack for SA, FINALLY. Seems to combine parts of trance slash and compressed discharge. 1:53 LS new switch skill. IT'S VALOR LS UNSHEATHE! FROM IAI STANCE! I recognized this one right away. I just hope it's the switch skill that replaces the Iai stance, the last thing LS needs is more counter moves. Other stuff shown in other promo material: Marionette Spider Endemic Life: Grapples to monster and allows you to yank them into obstacles for a wall bang. Lance new silkbind. Its like shoryugeki, but for lance (goes up and plunges downward). From March event. LBG/HBG new silkbind. Not sure which one it was, but it seems to be a LBG. A bug circles in front of you like a barrier, and when you shoot thru it, gives some kind of buff. From March event. DB Spiral Slice. Except its way cooler and can do it from different positions! From March event. GL new silkbind. Combos blast dash into an explosion. From Today's event. LS new silkbind. Kind of reminds me of the stance for unhinged spirit/devouring demon. Must be some type of buff. From Today's event. LS new switch skill? A new combo, maybe chaining off of the valor unsheathe skill. From Today's event. As we now have 5 switch skill slots, I think capcom is adding 1 or 2 new silkbinds and switch skills for each weapon. Combine that with skill swapping and I think we'll have a great toolkit for every weapon. Excited for the next event!

Now this is gonna be interesting. I can see myself getting the amiibos to rock the vampire look.

We can finally witness the epic battle between the 2 invasive pinecones: the sharp Seregios vs war veteran Bazelgeuse

1:40 looks like the Chaos Oil hunter art for sword and shield is making a come back from MHGU, although it's missing the wind-up horizontal slash animation (it was a pretty useless gap closer), that's great though because the attack barely does any damage and it's much faster now and less prone to monsters accidentally hitting you out of the animation. 👍 Edit: What? It's just destroyer oil? lol

Im honestly most exited for the New Switch skills! Its really cool that youre able to switch youre switch skills on the go because it will make the game just so much more fun to play and every hunt will be unique! Like imagine going from Sakura Slash, directly to Helmbreaker! Sunbreak is going to be soooo insanly awesome!

Those Amiibo look great! Very happy to get some more content for Rise! Well, real, non-sticker content I should say.

That theme alone is enough to make Malzeno one of my favourite monsters. The whole thing just screams “GET OUT OF THERE OR YOULL DIE!!”

Bram Stoker is getting a chubby in his grave. also dragonsbane set is 100% a mix between inquisition and van helsing...... this is awesome, the vampire was the start of the demonization of humans to monsters, to make this as a monster to monsters just makes him 10x better. love it.

I love Everything of this Trailer! Seregios, Lovely. Little bit of Malzeno Gameplay and Lore/Ecology, Has to be the Best thing I've seen! 👌 Perfect. However, I would be sad if we don't see gammoth at least get a revamp like Glavenus, Mizutsune, and Astalos. Maybe not in Base Sunbreak, but hopefully as a Title update? I say You (Capcom) had to have gotten the Modeling from something right? Sure it could be Rajang, Congolala even, but for a Monster as large as Garangolm is (I forgot to mention I'm talking about Garangolm), it feels wrong to leave Gammoth out when she is part of the Fated Four and, well 3/4th isn't a whole.

I want to see a monster like Orochi/ Hydra. I feel like Rise is the only MH game that can introduce such monster. Regardless, am exited for Sunbreak
