@@kalijahdaley7866 my favourite mh game is 4u, though i still love iceborne. Iceborne is more faithful to the series than rise despite the art direction, rises combat overstated and unsatisfying, and a lot of the monster hunter “feeling” is absent. It’s endgame is non existent and horrendously boring, i don’t understand how anyone whose played more than 100 hours of the game can defend it.

1:00 that is actually what happens when sand is struck by lightning, and it is called fulgurite. That blue fulgurite is probably just marking where your mount can jump and if you look closely you can actually see some scoutflies in the air, although they're pretty scarce

I do like the seemingly dynamic weather. A lot of the lore for Elder Dragons describes them as living natural disasters and their mere presence can cause intense storms, wind, or blizzards or other effects depending on the element(s) that it controls. I hope the dust and storm stuff that we're seeing is implementing more of those elements into the actual game rather than just in lore or item descriptions. Perhaps an Elder Dragon spawning into the hunt area causes this kind of massive weather shift while its present that impacts the entire zone. Could be cool to have one of these things fly overhead and now you're caught in its lightning storm and have to deal with it until the elder dragon moves on and takes the storm with it.

I think you're right! The devs made all of that space, so they're definitely going to use it. I hope that means Capcom is determined to make all of the giant monsters actually fun to fight in Wilds. Besides redeeming the series of its past sins (Zorah), actually fun giant monster hunts would be an incredible pairing with actually good underwater combat. I think underwater combat is at least decently likely to return - I read an IGN article that quoted Kaname Fujioka about him having wanted underwater hunts to make a return in Tri, but the underwater mechanics being too difficult to create to be a practical use of time. He also said that he has a really strong attachment to underwater combat and wants to try it in the future, though. Because World made such incredible sales, I think Capcom can justify ironing out underwater combat for Wilds. Because there's so much space, I also hope we'll see Najarala interacting with the larger environment and get to kill it in new and exciting ways!

@aynonymos

@@Spin0saure nah the fleets are the exploration teams charting new areas, with the first fleet being the first to arrive. In previous games you were just a normal hunters guild member hunting in an area that had been thoroughly explored a long time ago, in monster hunter world the fifth fleet was a well resourced exploration team sent to an area that had been reasonably explored with a thorough support network established. I'm hoping wild let's us explore a new territory with minimal support from the guild, on the premise that the guild hasn't sent enough people to the area yet.

Imo, the best game for dalamadur would have been rise. I am of the opinion that the wirebug was the perfect tool for perfecting large scale monster fights. Giving the player a means of rapidly repositioning across large distances, including gaps and to ascend walls, is kinda perfect for large monster fights. The biggest issue with fights like ukanlos, lao, zorah, dalamadur and gogmazios, is that they're not really allowed to be very active, nor demanding with their attacks, mostly standing in one place, and the response tomost of their attacks just being to superman dive. The wirebug's mobility and versatility would be PERFECT for allowing giant monsters to use larger, faster, more frequent and demanding attacks, as the wiredash would allow players to quickly move out of the way. That way you can actually *dodge* the attack instead of relying on the s of a superman dive. Rise's parkour elements would also gel well with dalamadur's destructible arena

The rings around the logo clearly mean to be ripples on the surface of water from rain, and the word Wilds also seems so be reflected like in water. So clearly water or more likely weather is very important, and I'm betting on the latter. Having weather or maybe a broader concept of a dynamic environment affect hunting and traversal would be pretty cool, and especially when tied into elder dragons and how they affect the weather. Another idea is, because the two serpents in the logo are inverted in color, perhaps there are two monsters, one living above land or in the air, and the other living underwater. Taking into account how the word Wilds is reflected, maybe it means the return of underwater exploration.

I am actually expecting the whole game to be a single massive interconnected map, a true open world with a wheel-and-spoke design with the plains being the central "hub"! Here's my kicker though; I'm also expecting (well, more hoping for) the return of the Caravan, and the Hunter acts as the forward scout looking for suitable places for the Caravan to set up shop! In this way, it becomes a Village that moves with you, and can be called to your location or fast-travelled to.

It seems they've chosen rings/circles as their conceptual theme for this game, with the reflection under WILDS suggesting water and the circles around it reminiscent of ripples from raindrops falling on the water's surface. That could be a hint about the huge artificial rock formation in the distance, a ripple from something crashing deep down into the earth. Possibly the dark "abyssal" serpent in the logo, counter to the white "heavenly" serpent flying upward. Then you've got the white serpent holding some kind of egg, and I'm thinking the four smaller serpents around them are their living children (each one with an element like you've shown, fire, water, thunder, ice). We could end up trying to stop the birth of the final (dragon) progeny in the egg, something that could combine with its siblings Voltron-style to wreck the world.

I'm going to put on my tin foil hat and say that i think those rocks are actually giant nests that have the eggs for these giant serpents in! just throwing out random ideas 😂 super hyped for wilds though!

I think those coral looking rocks are some type of fulgurite, a sort of glass that forms when lightning strikes the ground, making the sand and such in the ground form weird tubular crystal shapes. Would fit in with the heavy lightning focus in the trailer
@erictappan3906
@erictappan3906 9 месяцев назад
The "coral-like structure" definitely reminded me of the coral highlands, but with lightning and sand being such a focus I can't help but see it as an enormous fulgurite -- sand fused into snaking, glass like formations by lightning! Wikipedia has a great picture of one from the Saharan Desert which shows off their tube like structure, which I think we can also see in the trailer.

I saw a theory earlier that I don't think holds up, but his reasoning for thinking what he did intrigues me. The word "Wilds" is reflected underneath it. The logo reveal is preempted by ripples forming behind the title, and the logo itself ripples into form. The logo contains two serpents intertwining or perhaps the same serpent reflected. I think ripples and reflections are going to be important to the story as if the ripples are the effect of some smaller events leading to a large event and environments changing are reflections of their two states. Perhaps these two serpents or one serpent with two forms change the environments they enter drastically, making the biome states reflections of each other.

If they did bring slinger & scoutfly back (and maybe even clutch claw). I really want them to add new added mechanic and things to it. For example like: - when u hit the monster with clutch claw it has chance to actually throw u away from its face or if its not clutch staggered yet - the clutch claw recoils if u hit the monster hard parts consuming more of ur stamina (that will absolutely destroy and harden the tenderize mechanic lol) - the flinch shot distance affected by how much slinger ammo currently in the slinger - the monster immediately throws u away if u clutch to it during enrage - the slinger having its own upgrade & crafting Tree - The Scoutfly can get disabled by certain conditions (not just monster appearing when it goes red) - the Scoutfly can get confused when trackings things with low Resource & Research data - The Scoutfly Can be lit around the hunters as Light purposes Something like this that i think are pretty neat for immersion & gameplay, if they did actly bring those things back tho.

I personally think that bottom right landmass is where the kingdom and Citadel of Sunbreak are, given its isolation and us going across the sea to get there at the start of Sunbreak. It makes more sense for Kamura to simply be in the same general region or stretch of mountains as Yukomo, given the similar topography, the presence of Amatsu, and it makes more sense for the twins to travel that distance compared to halfway across the MH world.

I think that just by analyzing the logo we can speculate on lots of things: - It is composed by 6 serpentine figures. This not only confirms that this is indeed MH6 but it can be a nod to the fact we will finally see more serpent wyverns after all these years - 2 of them are in the middle, intertwined but at the same time facing different directions and with opposite colors. Maybe some kind of duality in the flagship monster(s)? - The other four are all making circles and they all have different head shapes, maybe it's a hint to the presence of a weather cycle, or even of a seasons cycle

I think the theory is very solid, but I do hope that the map isnt similar to the Guiding Lands in that the biomes are close together and mesh. In World, I thoroughly enjoyed how incredibly dense and large the biomes were, and part of what made it feel so immersive is that they felt so distinct from each other. The seperation of them gave a sense of distance between the biomes, which IMO helped sell them as real places rather than a videogame level. Either way, I havent been this hyped for a new game in a very long time. Or for a creator to return! Welcome back!

I thing an important aesthetic choice to the logo and Wild font is that they both look almost mirrored in the horizontal. The Wild font is being mirrored as if by water reflection and the logo is being almost mirrored by the horizontal half-dividing line. Looking at the large main rock formation in the middle of the frame. There’s two options. 1, it’s man made, there’s common circular rock made structures made by ancient societies, likely as places of work However 2, and the more likely option, is that they’re naturally forming. We see these a lot, most often in the side of cliff faces, which are caused when heated rock is bent into that shape.

The broken circle in the middle of the title image and the other one in the background to the left of it seem important thematically. Circles are everywhere in the logo and teaser too. Those four smaller circles in the logo look like a compass to me. Each head from them points a different direction with the top having the tip of the tail it's holding pointing up (north). I think the logo has more symbolic meaning than actually showing potential monsters. Each of the heads are distinctly different though and the two larger creatures have different alternating patterns on their bodies. The smaller creatures that makeup the four circles touch the two larger ones at specific points that are the opposite color to their main color with their tails. Maybe the smaller ones represent monsters that are somehow connected to what the two larger ones represent? I think the theme is going to be about cycles and the cycle being broken. All the circles and the weather that changed the landscape seems very seasonal to me to go along with the theme of cycles. Yin and Yang seems to be a possible theme here too. A rainy season and dry season could take that idea and make it fit a theme of seasonal cycles.

those weird rock formations that our buddy is jumping on is actually referencing a real life phenomena when lightning strikes sand/rock and creates a vertical "fossil" of sorts
@BlazeMakesGames
@BlazeMakesGames 9 месяцев назад
So I'm pretty sure that the "coral rocks' that the hunter is jumping between in that one clip is actually a substance called Fulgurite, which is essentially what is created when Lightning strikes sand and instantly melts it into these structures, with the implication to me being that this area got struck by lightning so many times that it's formed these massive fulgurite structures. So as such between that and the creatures with built-in lightning rods and the other lightning rods throughout the area, I think that we're just looking at a single lightning themed zone throughout the whole trailer. Even the last big platform that the hunter lands on near the end seems to be made of this same substance, just in a brighter light. That said, I will still admit that I do buy into the theory that we might be looking at an effectively true open world MH map, with as you put it a large-scale version of the guiding lands with different biomes and such to hunt in.

To be honest, i feel like the key visual environment shown is just one biome. Reminds me of the rangelands of rural Australia or the plains of Africa. The trees to the left look like Acacia trees, the mild oasis in the middle, leading to a desert to the left, with some rocky parts aswell. I don’t see that part at the back as being snow at all. It all just screams to me as one singular locale in the game. I would not be surprised at all if the next trailer showed a more coastal locale with beaches and a focus on the ocean. The hunter jumps into the ocean and a reveak of Lagi shown shortly after. The title of the game really gives it away for me. The reflection of “wilds” and the use of several concentric circles in both the game’s logo looking like ripple on a surface of water! The two giant serpents on the logo are probably the same beast, just at different stages of life or it changes how it looks based in whether it’s on land or underwater. You can see zig zag motifs on the serpent facing upwards and wave-like motifs on the body of the downwards serpent. Perhaps it roams the land causing thunderstorms before returning to the ocean to die(?) Im not gonna pull the trigger on underwater combat but i can really see them doing underwater traversal and exploration, similar to what Horizon Forbidden West does.

Missed you Gaijin! Can't wait to see Wilds in action. I'm hoping for Generations levels of monsters and world/rise levels of mobility. Also I hope we get hunt-a-thon quests back, 3 or 4 of the same monster, or custom quests (set your own parameters for the quests)

Personally I can't stop going over the logo. The circles look like water ripples, and with the lightning and sandstorm in the trailer, I think weather is going to be a big part of this game. Of the two main serpents, the lighter one has it's tail circling around an egg in a nest, while what appear to be lightning rods feed into the tail and circle around the egg. I think we may be looking at another huge world-ender baby again like Xeno'jiva was, this time being fed by the lightning gathered by those huge spires we saw in the trailer. The wild weather itself may even be generated by it's storm serpent parents specifically to feed the baby.

I'm pretty sure it's only a giant undiscovered serpent-like elder dragon related to dalamadur that can use the thunder element. Since all the games before world were on a single continent we can't assume the others have all the monsters we know and love. It also goes to show how successful of a species Rathalos and Rathian are if they're able to live in these places despite elder dragon presence

What if hear me out here. (Also a theory) the "sand storm" we saw the humter running from was a result of an adult dalamadur emerging from slumber, hence the lighning storm in the next scene. I mean the logo being 2 adult dalamadur and 3 juvinile one already has us MH fans speculating that to be the fact as Gijin stated here. And also the fact that "wilds" may or may not be suggesting open fields and open world area in general to fully capture the sheer scale (pun intended) of this monster and like in GOW we might see him far in the distance midway or far enough into the game when we finally get around to playing it.

Leviathans and underwater combat are returning! I think underwater combat with expanded movement and more fluid controls is going to be a blast. I've only fought Lagiacrus in Generations, so I'm ecstatic at the prospect of hunting it in its natural habitat. I also hope that we just get a lot of really weird monsters to hunt. I'm talking about monsties like Gigginox, Nakarkos, Shara Ishvalda, Xeno'jiiva, Val Hazak Zamtrios, Namielle, and Gogmazios; but I want Capcom to push it further. I want the weirdest hunts we have seen yet. I want to fight a gargantuan, sapient pool of ooze that I hunt by swimming through its body with the revamped underwater mechanics and breaking fortified organs within. Also Capcom plz bring back Gobul and Tetsucabra, ty

My guess is that we're still going to have areas like always - they're a staple of the franchise and having huge open areas takes away from the arena-like feel of the segmented zones we're used to. As for the sandstorm & lightning, I think that's could be showing off the main new gimmick of Wilds: dynamic weather events, which will have significant impacts on the environment & monsters.

Also, with the way they teased Dalamadur in World, it would be cruel not to bring it back in some form for Wilds.

I've mentioned this several times in other videos, but I feel that the new mount would act like a mobile support base. There could be designated safe spots on the map where you’re able to set up a camp since it doesn't make sense to just camp out anywhere where you could get attacked. Perhaps the mount can’t directly assist you in combat, but are able to move around and offer support, like a target for a grappling hook since it seems like we still have the slinger based on the hunter’s left arm on the trailer. Also, this is just how I feel, but I don’t believe it’ll be one massive open world map. I feel like they’re going to have multiple maps, but are very few like 2 or 3, and each are massive enough to house maybe 2 or 3 biomes that change based on the weather. Lastly, what I’m truly excited for is, like in your video, the possibility to hunt siege or titanic sized monsters such as Dalamadur or Raviente since small monster density could also mean the opposite, and with the new interaction with the environment, they should now be able to portray the true power of elder dragons by finally making them as lore-accurate living forces of nature.

What you said about the movie at the end is not so far-fetched but maybe it's the other way around. Maybe it's the early concept of MHWilds that inspired the movie in some way. I don't know if its possible but if Paul W. S. Anderson knew about it or saw something like a concept art about a lightning / sand stom it would make sense.

With the MH team saying they want to utilize the power of current gen consoles to their fullest, there's no better way than to have a crazy, huge, dynamic fight against a giant monster. I really hope we get to see the evolution of a large monster fight I've been missing since 4U Dahren and Dalamadur

I do think we will fight a giant snek, not just because of the logo, but if you look at the background, it kinda looks like giant snek tracks shaped the place. And may I compliment your theory with a theory I saw on Reddit, which was that the giant snek will be a dragon from the story of the 5 dragons we heard in world.

The monster in the upper left corner of the map in the wind is clearly a Kushala Daora, the official map was released with the “monster hunter encyclopaedia 2” which came out right after Monster Hunter Dos. Now you might say “so what?” Wellllll…. The flagship of MHdos was Kushala daora…. Seems fitting to use your new flagship monster on the newly released monster hunter map. So personally I don’t think it’s a new monster they have been holding back for a decade. Most likely the location is set further into the new world since we basically only saw the Florida of monster hunter. This location will most likely be more heartland northern or even southern America focussed (since the snake like logo gives off meso American vibes). ALSO LOOK AT THE MOUNT it’s pretty much a monster based on the quetzalquatl just with legs.

if it's in the New World, we may be seeing a map/area that is on the other side of the continent. in an interview during MHW's news cycle when people had the game, a question was posed about a map that is on the wall in the third room for the hunter's quarters. this picture is a map, so they questioned the devs on what it is. they answered, at first praising them for catching that but finished by stating that that was the real map of the new world and what we see in game is roughly only half of it. i've held out hope for years now, since seeing that interview, that we'd someday return to the New World and have this concept, along with many others that were cut rom MHW in its developement, fleshed out in a future game. well, with MHW's success, i may not have to wait that long to get my wish. i've also stated, since Rise/SB, that the best way for 6th gen to make its mark would be to have a snake wyvern flagship or other significant monster of that skeleton. gen 6 starting out, even in it's pre release marketing stage, by saying that they fixed the skeleton issues that prevented snake wyverns and certain leviathans like lagiacrus would be a source of massive hype for many hunters in the community. just knowing that nothing is off limits anymore, since that's the only skeleton issue they've explicitly made known, would mean we could gen anything in terms of both returning monsters and new monster idea. there were only like 3 snakes, one being an awesome subspecies, that were only in 4th gen. i would love to see them again and see what kind of new ones they come up with. a concept i have in my head recently for a new snake wyvern would be a higher tier pack leader snake that's a mix between a viper and a constrictor snake. the little ones wrapping around you like how zamites and giggies attack and the large snake coiling around large monsters in turf wars. the big one could sort of constrict the hunter by digging with parts of its body being out of the ground so if you are under the arches he can crush you. a funny idea i had was maybe giving it confusion or something as a status or sleep, not both maybe confusion and poison.

the line under the WILDS with his reflection make me think of the sea, so maybe there would be two big and fat dalamdur like monsters like you suggested coming out of the water ! It could be an incredible scene or maybe it is just a reference to the fact that MAYBE the dalamadurs likes could be underground, one goes up destroying everything on his path ! we kill, awakening the other one which is much bigger and powerful, i dunno it could be cool

I keep hearing people talk about how the clutch claw might come back but honestly i dont think it will at least not the one in world. What I think it will be is a new version to World's slinger, possibly a grappling hook seeing as how people enjoyed the mobility of wirebugs. The reason i say this is because Monster Hunter did this with Rise. Switch skills are just in a sense a new version of Hunter Arts from MHGU. So it's completely possible something similar is going to happen with MH Wild's slinger, so that's why I don't believe the clutch claw will come back, or if it does it could be a better version of it.

Theory TLDR Nature mimicing or making natural imitations of technologies. Utilizing in someway what has been left behind by the ancient people. The Logo Design: - The snakes are oposites of each and at first glance look very similar but very different in the details. - From top to bottom seems to be human progression. First hard angular designs carved into stone becoming more inricate. Then the second snake come forward with flowing designs leading to a stylized circuit board desing. - The Top snake being solid colloured like stone, The bottom hollow like a wireframe. - The Bottom snake is smaller and the tail doesnt loop. - The Bottom snake has a different head design. - The Top snake is barely touched by tech design - The bottom snake is mostly tech with very little left of nature - The rings. No idea but they dont look natural. They all have the stylized tech design and a wyvern head. The Word Mark: - Wild is reflected downward the same direction as the tech progressin from the Logo but is incomplete. - The rings here are broken incomplete. The wilds breaking down/taking over the old tech The Trailer: The small monster mimicking/incorporating the old lighting rods and making themselves into mobile lightning rods to protect the herd. I think we are going to find other examples of monsters taking old abandoned tech and incorporating into their biology and using it to their advantage.

Im gonna point out but the rocks everyone says looks like coral could be fulgurite structures( rock formations made when lightning strikes melt quartz and other silica materials into glass like structures) as for my main theory i think that big rock in the center and the one off in the distance are actually damaged like something broke through them like shah dalamadur or maybe even a laviente from the frontier series or perhaps a new giant snake

I know many people complained about the slinger in MHW cosmetically. Too big, got in the way or armor or whatever, I was among those who complained a little. That thing we see on the character's wrist could be some improved version of the slinger. On first sight I thought it was a kinship stone harness or what you call it from MHST, haha. That little cage is for scoutflies but looks empty? If we get them back then maybe this time we gotta unlock them somehow or we can just enable/disable them? For some reason I feel with MHWS we'll have much more options on how we wanna play the game, but that remains to be seen. The spot we glimpse in the teaser seems like a fresh continent. Is it linked to the New World? Does the map show the whole planet, with the idea that, just like regular maps, the left side connects smoothly with the right side?

I would love if the weather and time of day would buff monsters like at night nargacuga will be even more sneaky and try to hunt you down, opening up with a massive sneaky attack that deals tons of damage! and it will be more agile and have stealth related moves at night! and weather can buff monsters like a namile that can't dry up of its raining and can use the water from the rain etc... also I would love if the game is overall harder but they give us more tools and ways to prep for a hunt like setting up traps early, using the environment in a more creative way and so on to be successful with the hunt even if you aren't that good mechanically with the weapons you use so now the game can be more accessible and harder at the same time

Ever since they released the Guiding Lands for Iceborne I have been hoping their next mainline title would feature a huge open expanse allowing you to traverse from one biome to another without them being separate maps you load up. I also hope this breaks the 3 large monsters in a biome tradition. I don't know if those "goss harag" like monsters in the teaser would be considered large or not but if so that would lend credence to more than 3 large monsters at a time. It would also be neat if the map had dynamic changes shown in the teaser based on what elder dragon pops up. Like the storm could have been a Kirin or the crazy wind could have been a Kushala Daora. If they add that kind of dynamic into the maps it would be amazing seeing an elder like Velkhana appearing in the Volcanic region and turning all the lava into igneous rock making new safe areas to cross etc. I won't get my hopes up and I am just so happy we are getting the next mainline Monster Hunter on Xbox/Playstation/PC.

At the very least I hope that having an Elder on the map doesn't create the limits it did before (where you can only have two Elders at the same time or one Elder and one large monster), but yeah, it'd be cool if you could have four large monsters or more. One of my favorite things about World was when two or three large monsters would duke it out at the same time for a while in the same area. Rise sadly prevented that from happening because of how wyvern riding works and the way monsters always flee from each other (and that just added to the arcadey, artificial feeling of Rise which kept me from getting into it for more than one story playthrough), but hopefully we can can some real brawls going in Wilds. And hopefully there's no whining this time from people about a monster like Bazelgeuse "ruining" hunts when a bit of unpredictability and the hunter's ability to adapt is supposed to be part of the Monster Hunting experience. The whining from bad players who couldn't adjust to Bazel's appearances now and then led to freaking Banbaro (Bazel was slow and actually great at helping to break monster parts with his bombs; Banbaro just annoys) taking Bazel's place as an invader in Iceborne and Bazel being relegated to just one map, both of which made no sense.

It's not a lore theory, but I keep thinking about the gameplay in that trailer. The amount of interaction between the hunter and the herbivores blocking their path, the carnivores chasing them, attacking the herbivores on their way... All these interactions are nothing like we've seen before, it's not encounter based, or a trap of the environment, it's just happening and everything is reacting. It seems to me that there is going to be a fundamental change to the quest formula of monster hunter, but I don't believe it's going to be an open world either with that level of world interaction.

A monster hunter game centred around Dalamadur would be absolutely insane however the chances of that happening are incredibly slim, in my eyes anyway. Having said that I do think Dalamadur will eventually make a return sooner or later so I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
