If you guys don't remember, Cotton was seen when he was in the shower looking sad as Josh poured water on to him or the time they did profession cup water drinking when Josh tried to drink a cup of water when cotton was swinging the cup around. Those were two moments I remember vividly of Cotton.

1:09:20 Lala Barina has a move that is shown in the trailer that is actually very similar to what certain real world species of tarantulas do. Some species of tarantula will use their back legs to kick hairs off of their abdomen in to the air. They do this as a defense response. These hairs are very itchy and irritating, and you don't want to breathe them in. And during the trailer when her abdomen opens up in to a flower, it looks like she kicks loose some of the red "hairs" off of herself. I just thought it was kinda cool that it looks like they are using this behavior as inspiration.

i find the "monster hunter wilds is going to be super grounded" thing funny, cause, like, longsword is literally just frontier longsword with a paint job, switch axe is nearly frontier switch axe with a paint job, gunlance and hammer both also got some frontier stuff, every weapon that can guard has adept guard without any of the downsides, dual blades and bow get adept dodge without any of the downsides, etc.

"I want someone who understands what it's like too be too into a weapon" Yes that's me and insect glaive! And my weapon keeps being hurt. In base rise Wirebugs and changes to mounting contributed to a loss of identity for IG, Monster hunter Now still hasn't released the IG, and now in wilds we lose our Aerial reset! Well for real though, a demo is a demo so we don't know that the helicopter attack isn't unlockable down the road. I personally think because IG's aerial attack's are supposed to be for positioning and mounting (Our max DPS comes from ground combos), the removal of this has more to do with wounds. So mounting was shown to create wounds and if exploitation of wounds is as key as they show it to be the aerial combo being a multi strike with such a wide reach could pop multiple wounds at once. With the new kinsect attack's animations shown, weaving extract attack's into our base combos. I personally think were going to see new Kinsect Shaman focus play, as the ground combo's look largely the the same, nerfs to aerial play, but TONS of new kinsect animations and stuff including the ability to pull 1,2 or 3 essences at once and our focus attack being a revamped essence hunter shooting the kinsect like a god damn bullet! Awakened kinsect attack wishes!

What is the genuine difference between being able to heal/sharpen on Seikret in Rise, and being able to heal/sharpen in a different loading zone in older games? I think some of us oldheads are forgetting that our game series isn't always as hardcore tough as we say it is. Being able to retreat and recover 100% safely has always been a feature.

This will be the best mh game ever, but what would make it even better is if some monsters could actively hunt us down if their hungry; like imagine walking into the scarlet jungle trying to hunt Lala, but tou hear (if you're listening closely) soft foot steps and hisses from the brush. You then get closer to Lala's nest and see red eyes jump at you and it a nargacuga trying to eat you - causing a hunt to insue and maybe youde use the Lala to get the narga off your back and extra damage on your target.

I do side with Aaron with saying that sometimes variety is the spice of life with trying out different weapons more rather than what just what you main. Now on the other hand, there’s nothing wrong with having a familiar choice to always default to and being an expert in. I consider myself a Bow Main, but I’m not as wholly devoted to just playing only Bow. It all comes down to what you enjoy playing and if you are curious to try out weapons you don’t normally use. There’s 14 weapons, but not everyone plays them all.

From what I've been hearing/reading, the Scarlet Forest being connected to the Windward Plains via the river isn't just a geological thing, but we'll actually be able to go from locale to locale. I've seen a handful of people talk about how the devs said in a past interview that the locales are seamlessly connected to one another. Like the Guiding Lands, but fully realized in the form of their long-term dream of having an open world Monster Hunter. If it's true and they've finally pulled it off, this game is going to be even more incredible than I was expecting, and I'm so ready for it.

I believe they should bring back Blast Dash but as a more grounded dash that gives Gun Lance a gap closer to help the hunter get back in the fight faster when the monster moves away from the hunter.

The only thing that was difficult about learning charge blade in world for me personally was actually charging the sword and shield otherwise it was the easiest one to get the hang of. But I'd say hunting horn is prolly the hardest to learn. Not that I've tried to, but it seems like a lot to keep track of in the middle of a hunt

I'll never stop posting to remind everyone that, in the Monster Hunter universe, Hunters who can wield multiple weapons skilfully are considered hunting geniuses canonically! Which means that, according to official MH lore, Josh is considered a Noob while others like Rurikhan, Hollow, and Cotton are the Pros.

Edit : To me, Lala Barina seems like a red herring of an apex. She has such a wide web and affects the swamp greatly, so maybe she's the source of the inclemency in the scarlet forest, and the apex adapted to its webs and paralytic florets. 20:30 omg my friend and I had that exact same situation SO MANY TIMES in Sunbreak🤣🤣 I'm on lance and he plays DB, and he would blade dance to close to me sometimes - oh boy I've never seen my stamina bar drain so fast than getting hit 87 times in a row 🤣. Its just not a pick up and play weapon like Hammer for example. It has a gameplay loop like every weapon but just takes a couple more hunts to fully understand.

30:40 Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think Rise Hunting Horn was this for me. For the longest time, it's the one weapon where I had never picked up until Iceborne because of the stigma of it being the "support weapon". Once I did, I actually really liked it and even went back to 4U and GU to play HH. Rise's version is still fun, but I wished there was an alternate Switch Skill that lets you revert it to how it used to work. Wilds' Hunting Horn seems to be a mix of both the Iceborne and Rise's version so I'm excited to try it out and see how it plays.
