The palico's are fricken beast. They make really good distractions and shields but can't die so you just attack a monster while it's being torn a new asshole. Also, they bring over these insects filled with healing stuff for you.

We are ok with carrying newbies. Just don't get yourself killed and screw up the rewards! Just stay in camp and, well.. roast a meat or something. Way too many times I seen the same ppl getting carted repeatedly. Causing the quest to fail.

I won't lie, several missions I was stuck in were solved by korean/japanese/chinese dudes who played like killing machines. While I gave one hit with my long sword they were nailing down combos and stringing each other together like the triplets in the first Pacific Rim. But now that I am stuck in Tempered Kirin all the help I get is from stupid westerners who are as awful at the game as me.

@Mister Jaux Not really. In MHXX, you have to hunt the same monster for at least 10 times to get that one item you need (mostly plate, gem, mantle or horn). In MHW, you get it after two or three tries.

@Mister Jaux monster materials, even the rarest of them, are fairly easy to get within 3/4 attempts, though of course you still need to grind up quite a few kills to craft a whole set of equipment. Things like gem decorations however, are notoriously RNG dependent and annoying to get the right ones you want. Attack ones in particular are quite important but extremely rare to get for example, which is the one you'll find most people complaining about most likely.
