So many happy memories, MHW and Iceborne have easily been the games of the generation for me. With over 1800 hours between them I haven't invested as much time into a videogame since the the heyday of WoW. I'll be so sad when it comes to an end, hope the next game isn't too long after.
40:53 I find it interesting how a location can completely change the context of a certain entity. In its native universe, the Behemoth is a dangerous, but otherwise unremarkable creature. In the Monster Hunter universe however, it is more akin to a Lovecraftian horror. It's like Gulliver's Travels!
the title says behemoth, although it's actually king behemoth behemoths are one of the first monsters you'll see in final fantasy they arent capable of meteors, only king behemoth can
The best part about sharing this with someone that has never played theaw games is how they'll be watching all the cut scenes until a random wild Geralt of Rivia shows up and blows their minds with confusion.
This is a nice trip down memory lane. I can still remember my very first, and very annoying battle against the Great Jagras with the Bow that went on for nearly 30 minutes. Good times
And now that I finally played through the game myself, I noticed that our boy Arekkz forgot the Shrieking Legiana. But it happens to the best of us, still thanks for this here compilation. These ecology cutscenes of Monster Hunter are always really well-made and I actually enjoy watching them
My favorite would be Ebony, purely because because the action. It outright showed you that he was the top dog and on another level, not only taking that slash over its eye without as much as a scratch, but snapping the red ones neck afterwards with a firm bite and even throwing the corpse back into the depths of the valley as if it was trash to taunt us! But that was my loot! I needed those parts back in the day! That and when it comes to style, I love the Odogaron beta and the Deathgaron even more. Since I play on PC I can at least use it layered now and I am happy for you guys on consoles to soon be able to get the master rank armor sets. The fashion endgame is going to be sick.
The impressions I get from your hunter: that bald head tells of your dedication to the art of hunting, that long braid shows the long years of service to the Guild, and that beard shows that you truly are a man; the red and black of your Defender Armor suggests that you are among the elite of a city's defense force, and with that Alatreon Sword and Shield, I suspect that you are also a hero of Loc Lac city since it was around Loc Lac that Alatreon was first spotted and described by the Guild. Other than that, great video man! It surely does pull all the nostalgia strings for sure.
Y'know, I remember everyone complaining about the Handler, and I never thought she was that bad ... until you watch it all back to back. Though still, I do enjoy her enthusiasm.
Watching these cutscenes after playing GU and Rise makes me that much more appreciative of the graphical quality of this game. I am SO excited for the next generation of Monster Hunter!
Ahhh this is giving me flashbacks to when I thought the minute timer once you killed the monsters meant you had to run all the way back to the campsite or you fail. This went on for WAY longer than it shouldve. RIP those carves :,)
Anjanath, Barroth, Radobaan, Zorah Magdaros, Rathalos, Tobi-Kadachi, Uragaan, Lavasioth, Legiana, Odogaron, Behemoth, Leshen and Shara Ishvalda. I was scared the first time I saw them.
I feel kind of sad that Iceborne is about to end because it's the my most played MH game in the series and gave me the chance to reconnect with some old pals. Looking forward to the next game in the coming years
Like all monster hunter games, the cutscense are the best in terms of intros. Love them all but as a player since the 1st MH, anything involving the Rathalos is up. We have a history .
And to think, we started off as small-time hunters hunting small-time monsters like Jagreses. And now, we are about to face one of, if not, THE most powerful one we have ever going to face. The god of monsters itself, Fatalis. It has been an honor to hunt, to fail, and most importantly to thrive above all. Thank you so much Capcom, for the memories you have given us, and this amazing game that you have tirelessly worked hard to make and perfect. And thank you to the MH community, for your undying support that made all of this possible for Capcom to pull off. See you on the other side, and may the sapphire star guide your way.
I think my favorite part about this game is that the monsters that kill and catch a big meal yet still try and attack our small characters that wouldn’t even be an appetizer for the monster. Bro they wouldn’t even give a shit about us if they caught big meals
My favorite World Cutscene is probably Xeno’Jiva then my 2nd favorite for World is Nergigante. I started MH in MH4u, but Xeno especially has left an impression on me unlike other, older game, elder dragons (I’ve watched Ragegaming and Cotton play MHGu as well). My favorite Iceborne Cutscene(s) is a tie between a few: (1) Psycho Chicken (aka Yian Garuga), and (2) Ruiner Nergigante. They are tied for first in Iceborne for me.
My favorites gotta be tigrex's intro Because it really describe how psychopatic he is, he could've easly dodge radooban but he decided to flex on us and stop it
I knew that wasn't an Ebony Odogaron that was fighting the Acidic Glavenus. For context, I saw this same cutscene except it was an Ebony Odogaron and many regular Odogaron fighting this monster. It was most definitely a mod
The Guiding Lands intro really shows the disparity between how it is 'lorewise' and how it is in gameplay. These three beasts are basically fighting over who gets dibs to eat you and the player just kind of has to run. Gameplay...the player just murders everything in sight and only lets the monsters go on a whim. Usually because Dodo is too cute to slaughter.
Ik im really late but I just started really getting into mhw and I just got passed the new species monster im elders recess and just seeing some of these monsters scares me for what is to come
I’m so annoyed you have to go to the ragang area to see kirin but I’m finding footprints and fur in the coral high lands when I’m on viper tobi Kadachi and they don’t lead anywhere
So the game is about and emotionless monsters killer who kills any monsters no matter how friendly or docile they are with a naive partner who does 1 percent of the work while the player does 99 percent of the work
First of all, all hunts that aren’t assigned quest (main story) are not canon and the ones that are canon are because the monsters were causing mayhem/destruction. The “partners” job isn’t to hunt monsters it’s to basically prepare and quests or quite literally anything but hunt monsters. The player does not even do most of the work in this game since there are other things that are being done. Each fleet has there own job and the fifth is to hunt.
They should remake a live action Monster Hunter and cast Hugh Jackman, Brendan Fraser, Aron Paul, Orlando Bloom, Brad Pitt, Vin Diesel and Mila Kunis as the main characters. Kate Blanchet can be the Elf lady. Famous comedians for the Cat people/little folk. No dimension-hopping, all set in the Monster Hunter universe. Would be so much cooler.
I'm so happy that MHW: Iceborne exist and that it was my first MH game. The game was so amazing that I put over 2,000 hours and now I'm a fan of the series.
Side note. The events are awesome but some of the large monsters only ever got one event around them or 2. While others got like 6 or 7. Personally I love Jyratodus and out of all of the large monsters he got the fewest quests and in Rise it's even less. I just want a duel or triple Jyratodus quest. It sounds cancer but it would be a fun challenge.
I haven’t played this in a while but I remember some mods ruining it (pc) for me. I don’t like over powered stuff that wrecks the game for people trying to get kills the way it’s meant to be played. Is this still true? Or am I wrong?
I...would have changed some.of the dialogue. Some lines just dont make fucking sense but visually these are amazing. I wish that we got more pf them focused on the endemic life and small monsters though. Personally even if we never get a mhw 2. Whuch I hope we do because turf wars and entire believable ecosystems is just so amazing. I hope they make a tv series not a movie a tv series with mhw graphics and design and atleast as good of story telling
