In lore, they will actually attack each other _outside_ the mating season. But when the time comes to make baby Teos and Lunas, you won't find a more devoted couple among monsters save the Raths.
@@yoyoip2946 Honestly, Nergigante probably don't have a concept of anything other than "I can fight this and win" vs. "I can't win against this". Ruiner Nergigante was old and experienced enough to realize that this state was mutable, and he just had to wait for the right opportunity, but this one quickly figured it out the moment Luna showed up.
Imagine if that actually happened and they also decided to spice things up by making him native to the Ancient Forest kinda like how he was to the Forest and Hills map back in the older games. That would be a real pain in the ass yet exciting
@@Amatsu_storm_approach His slap sends most Elder Dragons running and absolutely floors Deviljho. A charged slam like that one, especially with that form, drawing out the maximum power possible has already shattered walls before. Teostra's, especially a dazed one's skull would break like biscuits.
I get the feeling that Nergigante is the villain of Monster Hunter World I mean he showed up in the Zorah Magdarohs stage, in the turf wars and the Lunastra cutscene.
@TheAmazingDeltax a theory that's been floating around was that he was trying to stop zora from reaching the everstream zeno wouldn't get supercharged from the energy. I doubt nergi could even deal with it.
The idea is that Nergigante is a Elder Dragon that hunts other Elder Dragons. If you looks at the weapons you can make from it, it apparently has the power to neutralize Elder Dragon powers. So that could be why it hunts them. Spoilers They sort of make it seem like Nergigante is the big bad guy but after you beat him things don't go back to "normal" so that's when it leads everyone to think something else is going on. And of course it was something else.
Maybe Nergigante is only defending its home(the new world) from invasive elder dragons that dont belong in the new world and are destroying the balance of nature...like deviljho and the main reason its killing them is because its trying to prevent Xeno'jiva from gaining even more power from the others elders bio energy and you never see Nergigante fight vaal-hazaak and thats because vaal isnt invasive and it diesnt negatively affect the balance of nature so long story short...Nerg is a hero...kind of
Tankhong Hong I think all of you are wrong, partially. Nergigante is not only doing it for protection and food but to restore balance to the ecosystem. Given all elders are “Disasters Given Form” Nergigante is the balance to this. Technically he’s doing all of us a favor
You're telling me this fucking Nergigante doesn't notice a pissed off Lunastra running at him full speed, but when I'm moving slowly towards him while crouching after he runs away the first time, he immediately picks up on my presence?
Well you're not wrong One of Seregios's concept design is revealed that he was supposed to be a dragon with spikes and giant horns Which later the concept is used for Nergigante
I was kinda disappointed when I saw Nergigante flare his wings up and didn’t dive bomb Teostra and the continued their fight outside the arena while leaving Lunastra for us to fight.
Nergigante: I’m going to End u Teostra! Teostra: NOOOO HELP! *Lunastra comes in and beats the shit out of Nergigante* Lunastra: Don’t touch my man! Nergigante: ARGH FINE ILL LEAVE BUT THIS IS NOT THE LAST TIME U WILL EVER SEE ME Teostra: Thank you my Queen Lunastra: No problem my King- OH WAIT WHO IS THIS PERSON HERE?
To be fair, Teostra was wounded during his last fight against the Hunter. Nergigante was going to take advantage of that and finish him off while he was not in peak condition. Lunastra coming to his rescue was definitely a blessing for him. Hell, I'd personally be happy if my girlfriend (which I don't have) came to help me out if I was feeling weak.
The Master of Monsters we gotta remember Nerg more than likely never takes on the elders at full strength he’s an opportunist and can wait as his prey gets weaker because they come here when they’re on there death bed just as we saw with Teo but with Luna added to the mix he didn’t want to try deal with a healthy Luna and a weakened Teo at once
Michael Williams I understand why it went like this because in actual nature predators try to avoid unnecessary injury as much as possible which is why they normally do not go after healthy individuals unless put under specific conditions. However from the perspective of the game it seemed to have built up nergal to appear as, well a monster with the turf wars he has with other elders and his place in the "story" along with the food chain. Which is why I called bull crap on the cutscene. Also my apologies for the long reply
