@@Slaking_ I honestly found him the toughest. Kushala doesnt really do anything special outside of being annoying, and teostra can just be smacked in the side of the face. Vaal isnt that much harder, but getting your hp cut hurts.
Think the theme fits quite well, It starts scary like you would expect from a necromancer flesh wearing dragon, but as the fight goes on you see the glorious shiny elder dragon below all the gore, and by that time you also realize he's not slow as you imagined, he's Just as powerful and majestic as his fellow elders, really hope they bring him back in Sunbreak.
The skill Peak Performance has activated. Peak Performance skill effect has worn off. The skill Peak Performance has activated. Peak Performance skill effect has worn off. The skill Peak Performance has activated. Peak Performance skill effect has worn off.
It'd be right at home in Sunbreak as well, we already got a vampire and wolf themed monsters coming with Malzeno and Lunagaron, now we just need the zombie dragon to make it in too!
Vaal is the coolest of the new Elder Dragons in World. He has a nice lore, epic opening and unique to Rotten Vale. I just hope his germs has more effects, and will zoom in on you with no way to dodge. Blackveil as a fungus can add a confused effect of trying to control your brain. He seriously needs more credit.
Vaal hazak and savage deviljho are the only two monsters in this game that I find actually scary. One is literally covered in dead monsters and sucks the life force out of alive monsters and the other is so powerful and threatening that it literally attacks anything it sees and can overpower just about anything.
@@lotion5238 as a Lancer I have to disagree - I can't block or parry a cloud. Both Teostra's raw fiery brute force and Kushala's pressure and sturdiness are much easier to deal with
He controls the bio energy thing that is in every life, so by that, it means he’s not only the death dragon, he’s the undertaker, the one standing inbetween life and death
His theme is like something out of an JRPG Villan fight. Just imagine. Your sitting in the grave yard and a sexy vampire guy comes out of no where and fights you, he has a claymore and bleed and has most that drains your party for 2hp every turn. What do you do?
It took me a long time to defeat this asshole. The fight wasn't particularly tough, the enraging part was there was this particular ambiental effect or roar attack or something which you can't dodge and which makes you lose a ton of health over time and you can't do anything about. I was really frustrated, I couldn't believe devs did something like that, it didn't make any sense, it was just unfair damage you couldn't avoid that made that fight honestly impossible. . . . After a week ot trials, my girlfriend pointed out that there was no such attack. I was walking in boiling water and making a surprised Pikachu face whenever I took damage. I killed that dragon "first" try and felt ashamed for my stupidity hahahaha
You are the paladin sent to the Underworld to vanquish your unholy enemy. Little do you know, your foe is not just undead, but it’s also the living(?) embodiment of disease.
Design-wise Vaal Hazak is probably one of the best monsters in world. He also has this banger of a soundtrack. He is definitely the most enjoyable to fight out of the trio. Teostra is fun but gets kinda annoying sometimes and Kushala Daora is always annoying.
Tailwhipstuns me into the acid water, proceeds fire effluvium on me and insta kills me with miasma, this is what;s called *toxic*, then proceeds to retreat and eat heal. -_- T-T
@Blackveil Vaal Hazak honestly i do the same now with defender v glaive full xeno or luna armor temp mantle and 3 brace jewels and i just unlocked the lvl 50 cap and i aced thronetaker
@Blackveil Vaal Hazak nice imma play the rocksteady mantle quest next week and retry behemoth solo for the 20th time i get him to half health then the tornado spam gets me
I'm so glad I went into the Vaal Hazak fight blind. Seeing him rise out of that literal hill of corpses was the most terrifyingly exhilarating thing I've seen in a video game in many years. Granted, most of his moveset is pretty much ripped straight from Kushala's, and he telegraphs his effluvium attacks pretty openly, but it was still fun. Too bad his gear isn't that good compared to, say, Nergigante's. Kind of excited to see how Blackveil compares to the base form.
I feel bad honestly, I did the 3 elder dragons in order so vaal was last, it's design is great but after fighting teo and then xeno after vaal it got very outshined
