Given the fact I've listened to many forms of remakes of video game themes, this isn't just a mere remake, it's a very well thought out and well complementing improvement to the original song. While most metal covers or metal offer a spin on the track provided with just a guitar and heavy drum beats, yours has the fortitude and attentiveness I've rarely seen. I hear the original track but not simply to keep a form of familiarity but rather add and invigorate an (in my preference) already established track. I love everything about this, from the drums affixed to the accompanied traditional strings and horns all the way to the encompassing echo affects added for the entirety of the original track and more. I'm so happy I stumbled across this channel while looking for MH:W related topics. Thank you for existing and doing such a wonderful job dear(s).

He thinks that Vaal Hazak figured out something was wrong when he came to the New World, and he struggled to stay alive to figure out what it was and made a symbiotic relationship with the effluvia that otherwise would have decomposed his flesh. So I think he's actually half decomposed already...

If you're having trouble, be sure to *only* hit his face until It breaks, you can tell it's broke when his left tooth is chipped. Something i learned farming this dude.

Except for one problem...I get only 1 fang per-hunt every time I kill him. The gear I plan to craft would need about 5-6 fangs. It would be tedious and tiresome if I were to farm him that many times.

Vaal Hazak was my chosen "help the randoms" Elder Dragon before Iceborne. Too many randoms always trying to fight it without Effluvium Res. But once you disable that particular feature, the guy is a complete cakewalk. So Tempered Vaal was an easy one for farming decorations. I'd just spend the first 5 minutes beating the crap out of it solo and then drop the SOS so other players could show up in time for carves and quest rewards. I don't really do that much now. These days it is bout trying to help idiots through the Alatreon assignment.

@@rick44451 Hint: Use fire, flaming ammo helps. but if you want to use Normal ammo, get the charm (IIRC, Kushala drops the materials needed). Spread ammo also helps (Breaks parts better). And of course... Cluch shots too.

That intro really captures that feeling of descending into a pit of rot and death, while the rest of the song just feels like your wading through all the decay and stench of the veil, only to come face to face with this THING of fetid skin and sagging flesh and way too many teeth baring down on you to rip you apart or rot you from the inside out, whatever happens first. That's not guaranteed, though. It only has a 67% drop rate. Best way to do it is via Investigations. That way even if you don't get one from breakages you might get one (or more) from the bonus rewards. Or you could get really lucky and carve it.

Something that I've been wondering about Vaal here, specifically regarding its wings. Are the tattered membranes actually part of its body, or is it just dead flesh from other monsters. I'm leaning towards the latter, but that essentially means that Vaal Hazak's "wings" are just limbs with really long fingers.

Or maybe at one point Vaal was a regular elder dragon (insomuch as an elder dragon can be considered "regular') and had full wings, but being in the Rotten Vale with flesh devouring effluvium permeating the atmosphere ate away at the membrane of its wings as well as other parts of its body. Maybe that's why it wears the flesh of dead monsters, to give the effluvium something else to eat away, thus prolonging its life in the Vale.

well the game implies that vaal hazak is a overgrown and really powerfull girros that became an elder dragon and refused to die, now let that sink in and imagine how terrible it would be if the same happened to a pickle jhoe.

if that happened to Jho,it could almost out match a fatalis probably but it must be tempered,infected with the frenzy virus,eat lots of jho becoming savage thats what u call a monster mutation right there
