I have a yellow Karnak that I got out of a blind pack my big sister bought me when I was a little kid and it was one of my favorite toys. I still have it to this day.
The reason that there are good monsters like hunchback and the beast is because if you read the annual and comics it tells you it's like a kind of monster civil war with the evil monsters fighting the good monsters
Nice, in my country the figures came inside a chocolate box, the brand was "Juguete de Motta", good memories, I remember the same colors and there were two types of material, one was some sort of rubber and the other was a shiny solid plastic.
Tyrannosaurus Rex was actually meant to be the monster Godzilla and looks similar to his black and white early movie appearances but due to licence or copyright stuff they had to name him as generic tyrannosaurus Rex. The points on the back are power points for when the figures would be battled on the playground with higher point monsters winning a fight then you would own the losing players monster. There was later releases of multiple series figures done in neon colours and sold as neon in single blind bags in newsagents and toy shops and also from collecting coupons from newspapers to go to Woolworths store and get exclusive neons along with neons being in cereal boxes. The toy line was a short lived playground craze with me and my friends having pocket loads of them and you would ask to battle and shake coat pocket around and not look and pull out a random monster and so would your friend and if you had the monster with highest points you would win and you would then own your friends monster figure and yes a few fights were the result when people lost one of their faves. There was also an annual and a one episode cartoon pilot TV show and a short comic book series. Later there was lots of series and then into stuff like monsters on my pocket: creepy crawlies - Dinosaurs - space aliens - Sports stars - Wrestlers - super scary. There was also different ones released in Greece in different colours like black and grey and things. And was also some glow in the dark ones released which are rarer to find nowadays altho people have recently been making their own knock off versions and selling them
What the hell? After more than 30 years, I've only just realized in your video that there isn't a mask on Spring Heeled Jack's face. It's flames radiating from his eyes.
Dude I have the 2006 reboot series that I use my Godzilla parody series Kaiju & Cryptids and I’m currently writing a script for a review on the series for hopefully Halloween.
The ID number for the series is on the foot or base. The number on the back is a monster points value for a game. Hope this helps. Someone who owns a lot of originals from when they were released.
