The way Jay Z came feels off-beat and kind of contrast the way Kanye came in but in a negative way. Nicki obviously did really good here but I like Kanye’s the best just because of the intro and chorus but otherwise, Nicki has an amazing verse

" Everybody wanna know what my achilles hill is (as a monster who is destructive which he just described earlier) LOVE is his achilles hill because he doesn't get enough of it. in other words, love is what you'd use in bringing down the monster which is ironic since it he just described how destructive and evil he was. JAY problem is he is too metaphorical for his own good when People want is basic rap. You have to listen over again to get it no one has the time again.
@@joyandpeacefullaughter5307 honestly after listening to it more and more it has become my favorite verse of the song. I was still relatively new to rap and i still am, this was my first kanye west song and I didnt appreciate it but now I hear it in a whole new light. I keep coming back to this post and thinking I should take it down but it reminds me of how far I have come in listening to music and not just hearing a song once and moving on but really taking in the lyrics and enjoying the music.

Nicki proved she's an exceptionally talented rapper on this, but everyone else on the song was fantastic as well. Song wouldn't hit right without them all.

Kanye West said he thought about taking Nicki’s verse off of Monster because he knew people would say that was the best verse on the best Hip Hop album of all time or arguably top ten albums of all time. And he would do all that work, eight months of work on Dark Fantasy and people would say to him ‘My favorite thing was Nicki Minaj’s verse.’
