back in the 80s when they first opened this ride me and my cousin road it about 4 times in a row. Coolest (literally) ride in the park at the time. Really though, it's way better to actually be there riding it than watching it but this brings back the memories. :*)
+radioman970 Haha, yeah I remember as a kid during the summer at the park, best way to take a break and cool off was this ride, no doubt about it. Got to sit for a while, relax, and it really was very comfy and cool inside compared to the summer heat.
+SliverOfTheMoon great show too. funny, I was JUST NOW thinking about this ride while watching Hallmark's Alice in Wonderland from 1999. The madhatter teaparty scene is like something on a ride.
I lived up the street from Six Flags in '84, I and my friends would sneak in all the time. We would go in through the woods by the Mind bender or one friend that had a pass would go in then come right back out and get stamped with UV ink so they could go back in. We would meet him in the restroom at the entrance and he would transfer the ink from his wrist to ours so we could go in at the entrance. We had a lot of friends that worked there too. We always got our food and drinks free! We had one friend that worked at the gift shop, we would go in and load up on anything we wanted! At the time I was young and it was the 80s so I didn't think about if it was right or wrong then. I saw the Go Gos there, Red Rocker, and best of all, Night Ranger. I met a lot of girls there too, a lot! Well, I was cute then. Pretty good memories at Six flags.
Brian and Zippy's Snack-Filled Adventures Have you seen the original version from 1967? That one had different animatronics and they were less "terrific" than the ones from 1968 to 1980. If you were referring to the one from 1968 to 1980, then I can understand why some people like you found this ride to be terrifying.
when i finally got the guts to watch all of it i thought that its not that bad i mean i was at six flags the other day and my dad made me get on it and i closed my eyes 6he whole time because the noises scared me
I wonder why Six Flags likes to replace amazing attractions. Speelunker Cave is my favorite ride. I know I was born after they closed it, but I like the ride. I wish Six Flags bring back these attractions
im getting a seasons pass ticket but i used to go every year and everytime year i would go on this ride (I LOVED IT!) and one time i was on it with my parents and at the part where the dude says "STAY OUT OF THE MARSH!!" guess what... our ride just stopped and i was only like 8 or 9 and i was FREAKED OUT!
in the 90s this was so much better more scares thy took out so many features even the drop in the end is gone only a few of the originals where in here there was never white rooms with girly shit there where monster and scares jumping out even the kissing booth is different this sucks.. they shouldn't have changed it it was better the other way...shame that parents today cant teach their kids to love horror and only have them love pussies shit like this ... i was excited to take my hubby on a childhood ride that i loved now its gone changed to accommodate kids.. hell no bring back the other old ones it was better if the kids cant handle it them keep them away from it... sucks ass changing shit ...
XwaltermanX the original ride in the 60's was based off song of the south, then was renovated into the monsters in the 80's and again overhauled in mid-2000's .. disney used song of the south for splash
