They seriously need to. Let's face it. It's a one of a kind concept & iconic to six flags. Ask anyone who's ever been to six flags over georgia if they know the monster plantation & they all know. It's a mainstay attraction & once again, such an original work of art. Not only should it become an official staple part of the six flags corporation, but it should have also went beyond just an amusement park ride. It should've become a brand that made toys, clothing, costumes, and even got its own TV show. I am aware that there used to be stuff like coloring books, plushies, and light switch covers, which was great. But imagine what more could have become of it.
@@brayg488 I agree :) I'm from NJ and this was my favorite ride when I visited. It feels charming and unique to Georgia, as much as I would like to have it here I don't think it would be the same.
That’s a death sentences for the ride. Once it’s at every park it’s not special or unique. Once the TV show or the merchandise becomes dated, unpopular, or irrelevant, they pull the plug on the whole thing and get rid of the ride because it’s seen as antiquated. The reason the ride has lasted so long is because it has remained unique, one-of-a-kind, and treasured as a part of Six Flags over Georgia, and nowhere else. I agree I would love to see more merchandise in the park. I would adore a coloring book with these characters. The artwork for the ride is so adorable, I would buy the coloring book just to own the artwork. I would 100% buy plush of the characters. I’m sure there’s an anniversary on the horizon where this could happen. I’d buy a hard copy of a the soundtrack album, maybe featuring exclusive content like interviews with the creators. there are definitely ways that six flags can capitalize on the attraction more, but keeping unique to Georgia has been the rides biggest savior.
Not just a great area loop, but genuinely great music in general… I can’t believe this is from a six flags ride. I actually find myself listening to this a lot just because it’s actually really good. Incredibly catchy theme song that I adore, great jazz and bluegrass, it’s just wonderful. Thank you dick Hamilton and all the imagineers who worked on this unique ride
Not only is it wonderful to hear this in its entirety, but it is legitimately GOOD, well-performed music. So cool to hear it! I worked there back in the early 80s.... Anyone else remember the prior version of Monster Mansion/Plantation with "Judge Spurge" at the chili cook-off? That was a nod to the park's General Manager back then, Spurgeon Richardson, who later served as the head of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. :)
@@michaelford7556 the ride is still fun and well-worth the wait. I DO miss the "Monstore" across the walkway in the left side of what is now the candy store.
I need for someone to PLEASE tell me that the original music in the queue line did nothing but loop “join the monsters at the mansion you’re invited to a picnic, monster picnic where humans are allowed today to…join the monsters (repeat forever)” and there were no other words at all 😂…i know im not crazy for remembering this
For sure! I was obsessed for a couple of days after seeing this😂😂 and even in a couple of homemade online vids from ‘90s early 00s it only loops that verse (at least in the first 2 mins of the ride until you leave the mistress’s intro)
Hi there! It was released and for sale at Six Flags over Georgia coinciding with the massive refurbishment of Monster Plantation in 2009. I don't think it was sold for long, though!
@@marcusblackwell2372 The area music is the queue theme before you enter the ride proper. Then the jazz theme goes instrumental (mostly piano when you first enter into the building) then it gets a jazzy, electronic-sounding upgrade when you see the monster band. Shortly afterwards, you see the country monster band which remixes the tune with fiddles and banjos. When the ride is over, you here the queue music again which goes from jazzy with lyrics to instrumental then the lyrics come back just before a new country remix plays and the lyrics are sung with that version. In short, the music that plays outside of the ride is the main theme which goes from big band jazz to country, the monster band plays a funkier, marching band-esque version of this theme and the country band plays a more energetic version of the country portion of the theme.
Could you upload the original files as you ripped them from the CD to Google Drive/Dropbox/etc? As you may know, RU-vid compresses the audio and video a considerable amount. No worries if you can't though.
