I agree with you 100%. Mr Patterson seems to be having way too much fun! As one of the former Chief Engineers on this wonderful vessel, I watched this with a heavy heart......I know Mr. Izzy would have had a few choice words for Mr. Patterson!
Almost made me sick watching them cut her up and seeing areas I remember well from when I worked on her. Still remember Izzy dressed to the 9s dancing up the walkway with one of his driftwood walking sticks. Has anyone heard if the project has moved forward at all? Last I heard she was half gone from scrappers stealing bits.
This is really sad. I was on the President several times when she was a casino, and she really was beautiful. Sad to see her rusting to death in pieces.
I recently contacted two cities within the State of Illinois with some ideas. The ideas were have about a hundred or so volunteers come forward and reconstruct the SS President. The place could also be a hotel and conference center. That way, more jobs would be created. I hope I did something nice.
no of course there isnt because these people were just sooooo stupid to ever think such an idea would get funding or would even work! just about the dumbest idea ever, nothing more than a pipedream from underfinanced idiots!
I'm gonna have to be the one to break this, but I did some research into it, and they cut it up so much it couldn't be put back together and ended up being scrapped
