To prevent cracking the carbon fiber door when accidentally opening it too far you could install a strap that doesn't allow it to open as far. Police cars use them, even if not for that purpose.

I feel like there may be a grounding problem, which is causing several of those issues. Check the main chassis grounds for any corrosion (lightly sand contact points, then add some dielectric grease to the ground). Worst case scenario would be a short in one of the wires.

Man i love your videos. I'm a v8, American muscle car person but I been right with it ever since I first saw the "What it's like to own a 3 rotor" video years ago. That video alone sparked my interest in rotary engines and if everything goes as planned tomorrow, I'll finally have one of my own. It's a carbed 12A in an 82' RX7 but I gotta start somewhere. I can't wait.

Rob, how is your alternator wired in? Do you have your alternator warning lamp wired in? If not, do it. That may be the culprit of your charging issue.
