@@978twostrokegarage2 i used to love the old 500 2 strokes. I came up on a rm85, blaster, and banshee haha. Love seeing people still playing with old brap braps haha
@@shannondidntdoit I’m all about two strokes but I definitely have a couple of my 450 r that I would not get rid of Including a couple KX 500s and vintage YZ 125 and a vintage YZ 490 both 87
@@mouf237 I worked at a shop for a while in the past. I got hired after having the owner tune my car which (the engine) I'd built on my on in my bedroom lol. He was impressed and offered me a job. Many years of fun times. I've debated on getting back into the industry but I think I more so enjoy tinkering on my own.
EXTREMELY impressive a side port did this while not being semi PP. Seems all the magic really happens as I thought when the intake and exhaust tuning are perfectly in sync. 😳😳😳
@@bennyb.1742 Well semi PP usually can breath well beyond 9k. This one is damn near putting down PP numbers at less than 9k. This is perfect for the street car while not having to crazily mod the drive train.
Not that it reved out long it’s that it took so long to actually rev that high. Time taken vs actual high rev. Still very nice. What gear did they use to dyno? 3rd or 4th? My car revs to 8600rpm and gets there very fast but then again it’s on modern ITBs and injection.
N/A FC's got trash talked on the RX-7 forum so much "back in the day" by most of the turbo or swap guys who "ran" the 2nd gen section and they've been swept under the rug since then. They aren't very fast from a dig but they make strong power up top in the higher RPM where most engines fall off.
This is awesome to see. I just had my motor rebuilt by jprimports in NJ. Im working up for a new ecu so I can run an itb with efi. Really cool to see the finished form in front of me. Next rebuild will be from angel
I love all the content and being Puerto Rican I love everything rotary and appreciate them. Recently for this channel and watch every video you guys post. I even go back and watch old videos but this one is different. I can only speak for myself but dude would’ve been turnt away as soon as I seen the noose hanging a black duck from the mirror.
I saw a guy with an S4 bone stock NA motor (no porting) with all emission removed, straight pipe, ITB and ECU makes 170hp at the wheel. That is VERY impressive.
I’ve been saying it to everyone one I know , I’d love to have a 12b built by the Vargas Rotary Gods 1 day . Ah man you 2 absolutely made me fall in love with the rotary engine 👏🏼👏🏼
You know the moment you surpass 7k rpm as it sounds like the engine just keeps going and there are cars out there that can rev to 11k its insane. Great work and power to the barp barp
Nice timing fellas. YO! i got my 1st project car! E36 318is 5spd coupe! Sissy drivetrain, BUT it's mugen lowered with the M3 rims. Platform is rt for a start. This dude's where wanna be in 1yr.
Man brings me back to my N/A 87. Miss that car. If he could find a way to add a 3rd ITB split between the rotors that opens above 6k bet he would see more HP.
I never even knew ITBs were possible to be put on a rotary 🤯🤯 had to click just to see what it looks like This thing revs out so far, I can skip forward 10 secs and it’s still in the middle of the pull 😂😂 to the owner of the car: that thang CLEAN
