Ancora complimenti !
It's a beautiful thing. I wouldn't have thought it fast enough to benefit much from the winglets, though. Paracord and velcro?!! I'd have thought paracord would be a bit elastic to get decent feedback on the controls.... Hmm. I'll pass on that one. Can't afford the insurance.
@@ultralight-glider I'm a hang glider and paraglider pilot interested in the construction of flying machines and the materials they use. Your video here is helpful. Thanks.
It so long it looks like it's time to start packing it up before it gets dark. Take off at the end would have been nice after watching you put it together. Nice looking but it takes too long.
Nope. Uh uh. Certificates planes are scary enough. I try not to think about all the prehistoric things a factory built plane has built into them. Good luck.
I don't understand how somebody is willing to risk his life in such a death-trap --- at a time when you can buy real sailplanes from Schempp-Hirth or Schleicher or Schneider and so on - machines designed by real engineeers and built by certified companies. Why?
The cost of a new Swiftlight was around 40.000€, but it is not any more produced, the price for the new Swift 3 is around 50.000€@@aleksandrlevterov8385
to date, thousands of flights, tens of thousands of flight hours, and no crash; ultra-light glider flying is the safest air sports discipline: www.ultralight-glider.fr/en/compared-certified-gliders/
It's just the safest glider: it flies slower than all the other gliders, lands much shorter, climbs much better, and has a rescue parachute which can save you as low as 50m AGL
the rigging looks a lot of trouble easy to make mistakes not like sailplane keep it simple easy to lose pins in grass overall it looks a fine glider what are the stresses ie g loads vne auw
i agree however i admire the pilot that why i looked at the video i bought a old glider 45 .1 18 meters open class for 14000 eu full c of a safe as a house to fly got years of flying i bet this glider costs more . still i envy the pilot in the swift and wish him the best of luck
