After 20 years not hearing this song. I found my self whistling it all of a sudden, and I’ve been squeezing my brain trying to remember it, thang god I recalled where it came from, i loved this cartoon during my childhood.
I had the same exact experience but with another cartoon. Out of nowhere, I was humming the song and spent sometime trying to find it online and ended up on a nostalgic spree of old cartoon songs that ended up here with this masterpiece, unlocking yet another forgotten memory ♥
Well Dragneel You're welcome. ^^ I really loved this series when I was a kid and I watch it till today. It's a part of my childhood and a beloved memory of mine. ^.~
yeah its true. You see, even only the drawing style of this show beats all other animes nowadays. So unique and artistic. The landscapes drawn for every episode are masterpiece! So stunning and even kind of romantic if you ask me. lol I aint sure if I am the only one who has this feeling, but I always feel like travelling in another country whenever watching it. lol
I particularly like the idea they use the sax for it. Very few animes have the same thing. Plus, it fits the atmosphere this anime brings: city life in the old Boston.
I was addicted to this as a kid, and today I'm having insomnia and just kind of remembered vaguely the theme song, so spent a couple of hours on google and imdb looking for this, always thinking I was going to be disappointed, and that what I was going to see when I eventually find wouldn't be up there with my childhood memories, but amazingly, it is. Great show. This and Ducktales were my favourite growing up. Love adventure stories.
I was around 10, when I first heard this on morning cartoons. I instantly fell in love with the Saxophone and the music it makes. This is still to this here day the best freaking sax soundtrack I have ever come across. It gives me chills ever single freaking time I play it, even if it's back to back!
When i heard the song ”Baker street” by Gerry Rafferty for the first time something strucked down in my head and a Childhood memory poped up…. ”Montana Jones”! God i loved this program as a child. Thanks for the nostalgy sound!
One of my favorite animated series, I watched it in weekends from October 1999 to March 2000. The music is still great!😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃 #Sweet_childhood_memories #thank_you_Montana_Jones
20 years ive had this tune in my head and i did remember the name montana and the plane. finally i find it. thank you man. ive been whistling this at random times and never known why for 2 decades.
Man, this song stuck with me all these years. It's just so catchy. While the only things I can really remember about the series itself is that iconic plane and that they all were crazy for spaghetti for some reason. Way to perpetuate a stereotype there, Italians... Didn't even realize how obviously this was inspired by Indiana Jones at the time. That only came to me way way after the fact.
Rampant Obesity I also remember that there was a scientist whos inventions always had one critical flaw and he would always complain that he "didn't have time and money" to fix it.
Been looking for this f**ing sick soundtrack for more than 15 years! I forgot the name if the show and i just exhausted every last keyword on google that i could think of... Then i gave up. Until one day an old friend just put this sick sax instrumental on and goes "guess what song is this?" "Bich i don't know the title! But FK!!"
Junge Junge....
I absolutely loved it as a kid, the whole travelling/archeology thing had me intrigued. Does anyone know where you can still watch it? For good old times😊
i've been looking for this song for so many years now. I didn't know what the cartoon name was or anything and i FINALLY found it :D Thank you so much for this Silver94ig
Qais Adeeb there isn't a official name of this song, so I just call it the Intro. ^^ If you want, there is a english and japanese version of this with lyrics and vocals. It's called the adventure begins in english and boukensha-tachi in japanese (although you should just google for The Alfee, that's the band's name).
As far as the credits on the old version goes, it says Gianni Bobbio and Mario Pagano. I can search the version on my dvd, as there might be additional credits, as far as I could observe. Like, there is mention of a chanson, unlike with this one.
Watching this show with my little brother during the morning back in the 90s. It was like the "Saturday Morning Cartoon" thing to me that was to the kids in the 80s.
I watched the sexy sax man sergio today and it made me think of this cartoon, i thought it was the same song at the start but I remembered it wrong, it sounds like it a bit tho =) This cartoon was pretty cool. So long ago
No, as far as I know, that's not the case. I searched the net for answers and found, that the sound director was Yasunori Honda. The ones composing were allegedly Gianni Bobbio and Mario Pagano. I'm not sure, how accurate this is, but Hans Zimmer it was not.
Well, at least there is a remaster here in germany. It turned out pretty good, in my opinion, though they said, that in one or two episodes the audio is dippin out, because they could'nt save it. But it's still a good dvd port. ^^
To be honest, I always thought there was, as there is an english opening and ending for it. I mean, why would they record it, when they were not going to use it? 😅
@@Silver94ig I live in South Korea. You might know Montana is Korean-Japanese-Italian Co-production Animation. But It doesn't sell in Korea. and I heard that it also doesn't sell in Japen. It's strange. Does Pidax has on-line store?
@@Juso1st Yeah. As far as I know they have one. But I'm not sure, if they sell outside of germany, and as far as I see (just looked on there), they don't sell montana directly. And there is just the german audio on the dvd, so I don't know, if it would help. But I know the german amazon-site is selling them.
Montana and Moskow the episode was good finnish when i was a little i looked at my little sister with this i imagined that i am montana when i was little and i get beautiful women dream was
I really loved Machu Pichu and Scotland. Though the one in the Chako-Canyon was good, too. The Moskow one didn't air as oftrn, as the other ones. But I still love the Ice Bear. 😁
XD
As far as I know, there is, or at least there was. It was like that in germany until recently, too. Our dub was lost, but resurfaced, I think, 2019, and plublished again by another company as a two DVD complete collection (two DVD's with all 52 episodes). I'm not sure, if there is something like that in other countrys. 😅
Hey! I just noticed there is an incredible amount of Germans in this comment field and this video seems to be posted by a German guy. Was Montana Jones really that big in Germany during the 90's?
i don't know if it was that big, but the ammount of people here are proof, that there were many who enjoyed it. also i'm a girl and i loved it all my life. especially the intro and the syncro. ^^

Silver94ig Haha, that seems to be the case, really fascinating. Yeah, the swaggy sax is unavoidably sexy and cool!
@MrMaddog994 I thought it has an eng dub, cause there is an eng opening sung by the Alfee. It is called the adventure begins, and the ending is called eldorado. Maybe it has another title in eng?
