Hi thanks for watching. Thanks for the correction. This lovely darling is indeed a 145 and not a 144. Each day I learn more in my love of writing with and collecting fountain pens. My burgundy one is indeed the 144 which is a push/slip cap. Thanks again
@@writeralwayswrite The burgundy 144 is my grail pen. I would certainly love the black&chrome just as much; but,it's difficult to find a nice one for sale of either finish. The slip-cap is a feature I love. Also cartridge converter is my preferred filling method.
@@McAmeron089III Hi, thanks for watching. I have a burgundy 144 too. It is indeed a pleasure to write with. I enjoy slip-caps also there's something about that smooth open and closure that I like. My black Montblanc is actually a 145, but a cartridge filler which I like because it's easier maintenance.
Hi, Thanks for the compliment. Yes, this lovely fountain pen is still sold on the Montblanc website which is where I got mine and it is indeed a great fountain pen. I want to add to this reply that you are correct they have changed the model is no longer made unless you get the vintage which I have a burgundy one in. This darling is indeed a 145 not a 144.
Hi there. Lovely review. I was under the impression the 144 was a push cap-- this would be the Chopin/145? Im subject to correction. They were inherently the same models i think
Hi thanks for watching. My 144 is definitely a screw cap; however, my 144R burgundy which I did a video on is a slip cap. I can only guess the larger model Montblancs probably are mainly screw caps.
Hi my friend. I wanted to again reply to your comment. My lovely darling is indeed a 145 screw cap and 144's are push/slip caps. Thanks again for watching and helping me with my love of fountain pens.
@@writeralwayswrite Hi- I appreciate your reply! Theyre do similar that it's no wonder. One things for certain- theyre both lovely examples of MBs offerings! I look forward to more of your reviews. I enjoy your style!
Hi, thanks for watching. Both make their own nibs and both have a century of craftsmanship under their belts. Both nibs are wonderful looking too, but I believe that Montblanc nibs are the greater quality. My reason is the meticulous personal testing for quality and how it feels when I write. Just wonderful. Pelikan is not to be downplayed however, they do indeed make wonderful nibs.
Thank you for watching. Yes, they are lovely fountain pens. It's actually a 144. The 145 is just a touch bigger, then the 146, and the 149 which is "humongus."
Hi, the Montblanc Meisterstuck 144 is indeed for smaller hands. Often it's thought of as a lady's fountain pen due to the size, although we all know it's wonderful for both. The 146 would fall right into that category as not to big or to small. ;)
