Thanks for sharing about the Montgomery County Fair! I think you did a good job of capturing what it has to offer. I grew up showing dairy cows and entered a lot of flowers, vegetables and baked goods at this fair and always loved it! It is definitely one of the better county fairs around. I still enjoy attending but don't make it every year.

I’ve been going to this fair since grade school and go now with my grandchildren! I think it is a great deal - the secret is to buy your meals up near the old timers area. A good place for food is the Big Cheese and dessert from the ice cream parlor shown in this video. If you have young children make sure to visit the rabbit barn where the volunteers frequently have rabbits out for petting. Definitely watch some of the judging of the animals - this is a big deal for the exhibitors and their families. Many kids sleep in the barns with their farm animals. Support them and celebrate this agricultural experience.
This is indeed a great video and prepared me for what to expect. As an older adult with a few mobility issues, I'm glad I decided to take my walker AND wear my back brace. Since the Fair is mostly paved, I was able to navigate easily. My only complaint is not about the video but about the Fair itself. The prices for food, drink, etc are really ridiculously expensive. I mean $10 for lemonade? I spent a total of $28.52 for an Italian sausage (glorified hot dog) fries and a funnel cake. I would have gotten the lemonade but I couldn't stomach a tab of $38.52. I saw one family of six--Mom, Dad and 4 kids, clearly distressed to learn that 6 cool drinks would cost them $60. Whoever is in charge of the Fair really needs to address price gouging. Other than that, we had a marvelous time.

Just left the fair and it’s fully packed too crowded to move on a Friday night. Didn’t have the chance to ride since it’s a long line of people probably an hour to get each ride. I would like to go on daytime next year it’s better for your buck. But the food prices have doubled up due to inflation, I rather eat before I get there and just enjoy a funnel cake costing $10 that used to be $5.
I agree that the fear is absolutely packed at night. If you go during the daytime, you get a far better bang for your buck. I also noticed that the food prices seem to double overnight.
