What a wonderful video! From the moment it started I couldn’t get over how extra-beautiful your makeup looked. Such a fresh summer look and I was SOO happy you wore Velvet Bloom because I just purchased it from Lisa’s discontinued pre-sale! Can’t wait to try it. And the Dior highlighters…I’ve been trying to hold out so I can finish up some liquid highlighters I already have and I’ve never tried a liquid bronzer but you’ve convinced me. I was so shocked to hear you say “you have to buy them” because I’ve never heard you say that! 😂 I have to try them now 🤗

Aaaaaggghhhh you got Bloom!!! I thought it was gone gone! That’s awesome. Happy for you because it’s a gorgeous lipstick. Haha that tells you how truly obsessed I am with the Dior maximizers. I mean everyone’s taste is different but if you tend to like products that I recommend, you will love these.

It's the same with Velvet Bloom for me - it's incredibly pretty, but it's so happy and vibrant and this colour reminds me of petals of a flower, and it's even called 'bloom' - how can one possibly use it in the winter? 🤯🤯🤯 But I really love it with a white top, just as you have worn it in this video. And it enhances the colour of your eyes, it is such a stunning lipstick 🩷❤

I do wear it occasionally with a white/beige sweater in the winter but realistically I use it mostly in the summer months. It is a beautiful nuanced shade, Lisa is brilliant.

Oh yes, the Dior glow highlighter… I just bought the warm-pink shade and it is devine as a blush for me - I put it in and I was like “wow!” - it feels so nice, light and stays subtle yet perfect glow too - now I’m wondering if I should pick up the bronzer …oooo, I do want to try a glowy bronzer - I’m not a real “bronzer” girl, but a nice glowy one as blush might be kind of pretty - especially this formula - I usually never want a repeat of the same formula in a different color, but this formula is chef’s kiss 😘

The bronzer is sublime! I will show it next week in a video but imagine putting chocolate on your cheeks, but in the best possible way. I think Bronze could double as a bronzer/blush type product.

Bonjour Mariam! Velvet Bloom looks beautiful on you 💜 Have you tried Lancôme lipsticks (L'Absolu Rouge)? I like them very much. Nicely priced too 😀 I also absolutely love Armani's Acqua di Gioia!! 💚 Regarding period underwear: I am now happily in post menopause (peri menopause was quite difficult though...) so I won t need those, but I think it is a great option for women and fantastic that you are also talking about women issues/concerns on your channel!!🥰

Bonjour Nathalie!! I have not tried any lip products from Lancome. Looking forward to doing so at some point. Aaahhh you have made it to the other side! Happy days! I think young women these days have so many and better options than what was available in my time. Period underwear being one them! I think it’s important to share and commiserate so we know we are not alone.

Great review of the period pads! And thank you for being so open about these matters. Have your cycles got closer together as well as heavier? Mine have got weirdly far apart since coming off the pill, which I came off to see where my hormone levels are at. And with some other symptoms, I'm thinking I might actually be in the later stages of perimeno 😬 but who the hell knows because endo and PCOS here. I need me some of those underwear. I can't wear tampons or menstrual cups (tried several) because of pain, and I am so tired of disposable organic pads

Since getting my period back after Nikola was born I went from 27-28d cycles to 25-26d. And since last year…heavier. The idea of menstrual cups fills me horror. I imagine it will end with an emergency visit to the gp to remove a foreign object from my vajajay no thank you ma’am 😂🙈. Period underwear is one of my most favorite discoveries this year!!

They are really nice especially the colors but they are also quite dewy, you will have to set them if you want them to last a work day.

So glad to hear you talk about the period underwear! You rock!! It’s important for us to talk about these things!! (Same for issues surrounding perimenopause and menopause) These are things we all face and it’s amazing what we can learn from each other’s experiences! I didn’t mind the scent of the LE balm. I got Sweet Fig. I wish it had been a bit more pigmented. But what I realize is that I really just need for Meet Me in Berlin to be re-stocked! 😂

I am just hoping that by being open about it people can learn from my experiences and vice versa. It also makes me feel less alone. Still upsetting that we, carriers of the two Xs, need to go through this for decades and continue to function normally while men get the sniffles and they are immediately dying 😂.

I agree, Velvet bloom does look great on you! Mariam, wondering how does the Dior liquid highlighter compare to the Lisa Eldridge? I have one of her highlighters- Crystal Nebula, which I love. I’ve been tempted by the Dior, but figured they were similar. I also love Oud Satin Mood 🥰 to me it’s a great (and potent) rosy vanilla.

I totally agree with you on the LE balms. I like them, but nothing else. Do you remeber when I said I don't like the Maximizer and I prefer the Pink Moon? So, another shade moved in. That being said 😅

I am so tempted by Dior's liquid blush/highlighter. I have their Glow Star filter, and I love it. I particularly love all base makeup from Dior. It is my favorite base makeup brand. 🥰
