The band had nothing to do with this incident, other than the alleged dumper being one of their drivers, who would have chosen to do this on his own, while the band was performing elsewhere. There is some controversy that he indeed did dump the tank, as the amount alleged to be dropped (800 pounds) is much more than the septic tank of a Tour Bus typically holds. RV's (which can resemble Tour buses), however, do have septic systems that big, because they are designed to be used at campgrounds and other places where sewer connections are sometimes not available. A major touring band, like the DMB, only uses the toilets as they go from venue to venue. When they're on-site, the venues have electric, gas/propane and sewage hook ups, so there's no need for them to tote "800 pounds of crap" around. While the driver did plead guilty, and was fined, the band did not fire him, and actually paid all of his court expenses plus fines, as well as donating a large amount of money to the City as a form of apology (over and above the settlement with the victims). I know this makes most people think that he did indeed do it, but when you take into account that the band stood behind him, and went out of their way to make good to the poor victims and their city, it makes one wonder if he had actually done it, or just took the blame, because the actual culprit was long gone, and he had no way to prove it wasn't him.

fana406 mean people suck. You lack judgement for actually working as a judge. So he pays a fine for that choice. You’ve never had a court fine you for not following the law.
