Lots of interesting architecture and beautiful natural scenery surrounding the city. But something tells me not all is well under the surface. I have heard some bad things about Vermont which I will not discuss here.

Montpelier is one of the few capital cities in the country that doesn't have a Governor's Residence

Just so you know, after crossing Main Street from State Street, it is East State Street (not State Street), while heading up toward College Street. Have lived in Montpelier for 32 years now and know most of the streets rather well, particularly those, among others.

MONTPELIER VERMONT is the only State Capital without a McDonald's.
