very cool video! special mention to you going there with you dad as JL, ha, ha! he totally looks the part, and seems cool as heck. nice cover of the event. I went there Friday, disguised as a type of 'escape from New York' Plisken type of character, I added a Zorro type mask, and have long dark hair with a white stripe [I m 54] my creation. I only went Friday as I m not very comfortable when its very crowded, and mostly wanted purchases. it was my first comicon, I liked it a lot, but it was a bit expensive. I did not want to wait in lines to meet the stars, although I liked most of them. I m mostly fan of TNG, so had interesting things to satisfy my appetite. it pretty much was my event of the summer to date, at least I ll have that. you take it to the next level, every costume and final look was Hollywood level. as some of some others, it s amazing of the dedication involved. but, it s a Venice type of thing, those masquerading extravagant parties. 'everyone is a comedian', and for some of us, Halloween just is nt enough, ha, ha! it s not bad for the health, as other parties might be, it s good fun. good show sis.
Hello! I was with MissyMagalie all weekend (Witch King, Anubis, Jack) and I'm a War Veteran with a strong PTSD and I know your stress. Since it was your first CC, let me give you some tips for your next CC. 1) If you want to buy some merchandises, ALWAYS wait until the last day and the last 3 hours... Why ? Because the merchants don't want to re-pack their stuff and the prices drop A LOT! 2) Take some breaks at regular period of time : like 10mins break every hour 3) Find the cosplay repair room (there is always one) : great place to relax, talk with other cosplayers and it's free! 4) 90% of ALL cosplayers have "social anxiety" at a different level. And they are there to show their work but also to make new friends (like me and it worked!) So, it is totally normal to be shy but in any CC you will find soon enough everyone is friendly, polite, open-minded and generous. 5) Just "let go", be yourself and let the "positive energy" of the Comiccons guide your steps. You will not be disappointed Welcome Home!
