A view of the Cote Des Neige area in 2012 where I grew up from 1971-80. This area at the time was predominantly immigrants that lived here just like us many came from abroad to work in Canada. Demand for skilled labour such as my fathers as a tool and die maker were accepted to Canada. Many years were spent walking to Darlington road to the Kosher bakery on the corner (closed) to pick up a loaf of fresh rye bread and a quick stop at the Bagel shop for the walk home ( now I think a laundry mat) . Going to Steinbergs for groceries was the thing at Cote Des Neige plaza. Watching the first Star Wars at the theatre that was there. Selling the chocolate bars from school at the doors by the plaza. Going to Kent park play ( not shown) and running around in the alleys and playing a game of basketball at Bedford school where I went. Haven't been in years but I imagine its =still like this now. Thanks for watching and like and subscribe.
