I was in the supporters section of this game. The ref was crap and the penalty was ridicilous but porter scoring in the dying moments was beautful. Probably the most intense celebration I'll ever be apart of. Allez montreal

Congrats to Montreal. They're like one of the first MLS teams in awhile to take the CCL serious enough to go on a preseason tour against LigaMX and other teams to prep for the elimination rounds. It paid off. DC United did what most of the MLS teams do and sleepwalk thru southern training and silly preseason cups against MLS, USL, and NASL teams. Then expect to go down into a central american barn where they're full into a season and they're eating, sleeping, dreaming about kicking your ass.
Really proud of the Impact! Montreal, y'all came out and supported your team, and I smell a star in the making among your midst! This is why I love high level Championship games! Great showing and push by the team to win a spot in the semis even with the worries of pre-season form! I'll be watching and supporting! -Dynamo fan

Kevin Aranda Montreal es buen equipo, pero Pachuca es un equipo muy joven, con poca experiencia y aún así estuvo a punto de pasar a la semifinal, pero falló muchoas oportunidades de gol. Contra América no creo que Montreal tenga muchas posibilidades!!
for all the negativity surrounding the stadium during the expos years it sure seems like its a great place for a soccer game. the noise is deafening and the atmosphere was unbelieveable. super goal by porter, incredible pace, poise and shot. notice how mallace is trying to get out from under the scrum after the goal 'get me outta here!'

Greg Zabawa Yeah, he is. After he got out of the field in a stretcher, he "miraculously" stood up right away and went back to his bench.. I don't know what kind of stretcher they used, but it seems to be super efficient!!! Actually, it might have be a new technology or something like that.
Greg Zabawa I was at the game, he walked by all of us in the stands, waving his hand and laughing, pretending like they had won, people were flipping him off, hurling insults, my self included, and even throwing trash. Would have loved to have seen his reaction after Porter scored that goal.
By the way, the Cano's penalty goal was not at 43' but at 80'. Thank you in advance to correct your video! It was most dramatic in the reality! See you in semi-final! :)
Oh the irony! I see a bunch of club flags by the Montreal Impact supporters but not one canadian flag but then you see every pachuca fan waiving a mexican flag but all live in Canada. I swear mexicans are the only culture that want to be mexican but not want to live in mexico
Secken No its not a problem or bad thing to show pride for your country of origin. But common courtesy and etiquette implies that you fly the flag of your country with the flag of your current country of residence. Its disrespectful to do otherwise. By only flying one flag it's like saying its better than the country you live in which obviously isn't the case if you are living in a different country.
Jose Reyes Yeah I understand but this a football match.. Plus, they probably came from Mexico to support Pachuca, so they have every right to wave the flag. We don't know if they're residents of Canada or U.S.A so we can't assume. But when Mexicans do there marching here in the states wanting citizenship, they get on my NERVES seeing them wave the Mexico flag.
I was there and I can say there was no friendship on the field. Both team played dirty (especially Montreal) because of the anger against the referee who was, let's face it, obviously sold or was taking for Pachuca, because man some fakes from Pachuca were awful, like horrible theater performance. Montreal did pull some fakes too, but it's football, it's part of the game I should say. When Bush pushed one of Pachuca's players and I saw that the ref didn't call it, I was surprised. I wasn't against the hit but the referee would of called it normally. Anyway, both teams played really well and my team ''won'' so I'm really happy and good game to Pachuca !
Officials clearly on their side (typical corrupt mexico) and the diving and crying, and then karma punched them in the face. Way to go impact. What a game. I still havent regained my voice yet.
Alajuelense is going to beat Montreal With out any problems just watch! Dont underestimate the Costa Rican Side. They have a 5-2 lead vs dc united so they probably going to be Montreals rival in the semis. Coming from a Chicago Fire and Cruz azul fan
Ya they probably will. Still a nice win for Montreal but Pachuca looked awful, easily the worst performance by a Mexican side that i've ever seen since I started watching the CCL and yet they were still about 2 minutes from knocking out Montreal. I can't see them beating that Costa Rican side that easily beat a DC United that is much better than Montreal. Also Montreal's best player from last season just got injured and will miss the tie as well
Was rooting for Pachuca but at least it was a Canadian team that knocked out Pachuca and not a US team. Either way Montreal never looked superior and even lightly better than Pachuca but in the end they did what they needed to do.

Pachuca did not deserve to win anyway, it's no wonder they're only in 13th in Mexico too. I'm sorry, but I will never understand why a team would work so diligently for 80+ minutes to get a lead that doesn't in any way guarantee a victory and decide to attempt to sit on the ball for the rest of the match. They didn't even do a good job at wasting time, they were not organized at all by the end. The right back... where was he when Montreal scored? Oh yeah, he's they one that wasted a possible 1-on-1 exactly 10 seconds before that brilliant pass into Porter. Any way good luck to Montreal, tougher tests lie ahead. From a Toluca (Liga MX) fan.

***** You're right...there's a spot for 1 canadian team in the Concacaf tournament. To get there, Montréal had to win the Canada cup (called Voyager Cup ) prior to the tournament Teams Involved : From MLS : Montréal - Toronto - Vancouver From NASL: Edmonton - Ottawa
Montreal proved nothing here, they only tied w/ pachuca who has tired players. Pachuca had 2 games per week, they were tired. Also they weren't used to the temp. Also MLS team will get eiliminated trust me. The CCL WINNER WILL BE CLUB AMERICA.
