@@LordZontar”healthcare” in the modern sense is generally ineffective either private or public. both are treatment based rather than preventative. the fact is we live in a diseased society (CDC: 2/3 of Americans have diabetes or prediabetes, etc.) and instead of making lifestyle changes, the doctors tell you to take the drugs or get the operation, so they and their industry continue to be funded by suffering and death. forget the petty private vs public healthcare debate, get at the root of it!! big pharma and big agricultural! besides the military industrial complex these are the two biggest lobbies of our federal government.
+Jill Hammer Sums up the whole cancer treatment regime. Think I will paraphrase in future and say there are no harmful effects of cancer that expensive medication can't prolong.
@@neilinely Direct quote from the dead parrot sketch: "It's not a palindrome! The palindrome of Bolton would be Notlob. It don't work!" Palindromes have to spell the same backwards and forwards. Good point about Palin, though.
You don't have access to a dictionary online? A palindrome is a word that spells the same whether you write it normally or backward - like madam. How is "notlob" a palindrome? It's not. It's just the place from the other skit written backwards. that is all.
This was from the last episode of series 1; The same one as "Albatross", which you can hear someone repeat during this skit & also the same episode as police using magic wands & Ouija boards.
I got to work with Graham once, and then hang out with him for a bit afterward. No jelly-babies, mind, but it was nonetheless one of the finest experiences in my long life.
@@inspectortanzi No, and I tried. He did smile at my silliness, though, once even politely guffawing at my 20 year-old American's attempt at John Cleese's accent in his famous "Walpoling activities" speech from the Cheese Shop.
The music at 3:18 was the theme to Dr. Kildare, a medical drama from the 1960s. Anyone who presumes that "rolling your own jellybabies" was a reference to Beatlemania is surely too innocent for me to want to inform them otherwise.
+Meeny McSweeny Thank you for telling the name of the song, I felt it was really good and wondered what it was named and you gave me the answer. Thank you very much indeed! :D
I saw them as a child and fucking loved them! They are why I became a professional animator :) Watch Terry Gilliam's Christmas cards animation, its what he did that got him the Python gig

When this 2:13 started playing in the background, and as soon as I recognised it, a little bit of my childhood watching a VHS called A Trip to the Zoo, which is not a Barney VHS by the way, I literally burst out laughing.
But the receptionist’s hairdo/wig… That’s pure late 60s, and I fell into a catatonic time warp and needed expert attention from a team of recovering Clairol junkies.
