That ending was, truly, remarkable. You know this reminds me of a time I was out picnicking with my friend Orville. We were walking down to our favorite spot by the lake when we were stopped by some kids. Now Orville, he’s a bit shy but does well around kids. They enjoy his magic show during our work hours and he always knows how to put a smile on a face. Now these kids were running over and they asked Orville to show them a trick. Now Orville-well he can never say no-he started pulling flowers from thin air and the fabric that keeps going on and on and on, and I was starting to wonder why he was the only one who could do these wonderful little shows. So asked Orville, I said “Orville, why don’t you teach me to do a little trick like that.” And he said “Why that’s a swell idea,” or something of the like. So we went to our spot by the lake where we picnic and feed the ducks the almost stale Wednesday bread from the bakery-you know, it turns out you’re not supposed to feed ducks bread. Something about it expanding in their stomachs and they die from terrible indigestion….or maybe that’s feeding birds rice. I don’t feed birds rice. It’s a thing people used to do at weddings I suppose but I’ve yet to be married so I wouldn’t know. A-anyway we were feeding the ducks the bread when I noticed we had two crumbs left. Now I didn’t want to feed the ducks our picnic too so I asked Orville: “Orville, do you think ducks can be disappointed?” And of course he asks why I ask, and I say “Because there wasn’t as much bread today than we usually give them.” And so Orville says he knows a little trick that can make one thing two of the same thing. He made some more bread crumbs out of the two we had and I said, “Why Orville! That’s a wonderful trick. Wont you try making two of me? Then I can go to the store to get more bread and still speak with my friend.” And he thought that was worth a shot so he tried the trick on me. Well that didn’t work to well.
