We take a walk around the Civic District and learn more about the different monuments there.
Starting from War Memorial Park and the Civilian War Memorial, we pay a visit to what's left of Stamford Bridge before crossing over to Esplanade Park.
At Esplanade Park, we view the Cenotaph and the Lim Bo Seng Memorial. Then we take a walk along the Queen Elizabeth Walk before heading deeper into the Civic District where there is the Dalhousie Obelisk. Uncover the reason why Empress Place is called as such and then take a look at the history behind the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall.
We also also look at monuments such as the Raffles Statue and the Elephant Statue.
Recorded on 14 October 2023.
