Why does these Fiesta's exhausts glow so much? Its like there are torches inside! I mean, the engines are mounted front right? The whole exhaust pipe must be practically in flames so! Its not like Porsches whose exhausts glow because they are closer to the manifolds and there isnt so much room for heat dissipation... Is there something different with the Fiestas? Its damn beautiful to see this also haha! Just wandering...
The "glow" you see is just the hot catalytic converter that it's placed at the end of the exhaust (the whole exhaust isn't glowing). It's placed in this extreme position because if it was in the "standard place" it would be destroyed by the anti lag system and it don't melt down
Thanks a lot man, I've been seeing all these Fiestas glowing a lot (from your videos and from many more) and always wondered why only them glow like that! Its a bit weird to see competition cars with catalytic converters isn't?

Even when the car is at full acceleration? My understanding of anti lag is when the driver is off the throttle to keep the boost up by retarding ignition.
It's caused by the hot cat welded at the end of the exhaust. You can see that "afterburner" effect because the exhaust gases are at very high temperatures when they come out there and it's a typical aspect of the latest Ford WRC cars ;)
Should be just because he turned off the anti lag system, leave the car in off-throttle with the hot catalyst (not 100% this is the explanation). Sometimes I've seen this thing happen to the Mini WRCs and Ford WRCs too
Quella a 1:12 è una 208 T16. Ufficialmente la Peugeot 208 R5 si chiama 208 T16 (senza "R5" ad indicare la classe di omologazione rally). Scommetto che tu ti aspettavi il "mostro" che aveva guidato Loeb alla Pikes Peak, ma quella si chiama 208 T16 Pikes Peak
