I agree - the right kind of wedding and that dress would be perfect! All three dresses (not counting the minis or the casual sun dress) would be great for weddings, depending on the setting, time of day, formality level.

And that short short one OMG stunning and made for u. Jaw dropper gurl. Knee high boots or sandles OR heels. Super cute

FYI... Once a rose (or the bunch) is finished blooming, cut it back to the nearest 5 leaves from that bloom on the stem. They will continue to produce more roses all summer. 😊

You could do a dark accent wall near the stairs and a black door, but keep all the rest of the walls white or a light natural color. That way the area doesn’t feel too overwhelmed with dark colors and you can incorporate the darker colors more into your decor without oversaturating the area.

You could always build new beams using the existing beam as you’re base to attach them like you did at the cottage. I think that room could benefit from a larger scale beam. I’m sure whatever you do will be amazing ;)

Someone commented on my idea of a large round library type table in the first room. I see an oversize large vessel with branches or your white roses. Lots of books in various stacks, which can be changed by colors of the seasons. Of course some statuary or decor and a glowing poured candle . Lots of art on the walls.....A girl can dream!

I am pretty sure the white roses are a Floribunda called Iceberg. The pink is probably Queen Elisabeth, a grandiflora rose (literally "large flowered"). The roses are fairly old in terms of when they were bred, and also still sold in garden stores today. They are classics. If you ever want some garden ID or adivce, I'd be happy to help.

Suggestion for your beams: My mother in law just bought a cute little cottage. She has a beautiful beam in her living room that had been painted. It had a raised grain to it, which made it actually the perfect setup to apply an antiquing gel, instead of sanding it. I got the entire thing done in less than an hour! And it looks absolutely beautiful! I did two coats of the antiquing gel. I used Heirloom Traditions All In One Paint, “Vintage Brown” antiquing gel. The easiest way to apply it is with a chip brush. And then you wipe it off and the gel stays in the grain and a little bit on the surface as well. It looks really great! 👍🏼 I’m excited to see what you do to your new home!

you should always stuff glass like that with your socks or something. You can be very gentle and pack it well, but if it is not stuffed the pressure of the plane can break the glass if it is just hollow. I always stuff anything hollow and breakable, never have an issue.

Your roses are really a treasure. You and Romeo were very blessed in the previous owners of your lovely home. About the glass--if it was vintage, you need to know that glass becomes naturally more brittle with age. If you pack thin glassware again, try bubble wrap and then glass. Your dresses were very smart. Kudos to you for finding lovely things without paying retail. Enjoy your summer.

That yellow dress is ideal for a wedding. A little light navy bolero jacket with a navy hat & sandals or a nice silky wrap. I love the short flowing dress with the long sleeves you look so very young. It’s also very slim in it too. In fact you look stunning in it. It has quite the 70’s look. Plus, if you wore a pale pink (to match your dress) floppy hat it would look beautiful with some nice chunky heel sandals. The others weren’t my cup of tea, but they were still pretty. Also your little latte cup to be, is actually a soup bowl for lighter creamy soups/consommés. But enjoy it as a coffee mug if that’s your choice. ❤

When carrying breakable things, put paper balls in the cups, mugs, glass. Also using cloth to pack from outside instead of just thin paper. The plates too can be packed with old pieces of cloth.

I'm so happy about your flowers and the health of your garden! They are lovely. I've always wanted roses in my garden as well but am not good with plants. One day I noticed a small wild rose bush growing out front and couldn't believe it. it's been several years now and the whole bush has quadrupled in size and I don't do anything to it, it's all nature taking it's course. My husband also found out recently we have wild strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, grapes, persimmons, and something else I can't remember growing in our yard. It's mind blowing. I also need to download that plant app you use so I can find out what some of these cute plants are. I swear I find new stuff every year out here. 🌹🌲

I cried when I saw how excited you were to be back in LA and Kinsley looking out the car window...so cute! I have been a gardener for many many years and roses are my babies. If I can give you so advice if you do not know how to care for those glorious roses please hire a gardener or landscaper that can help you at least until you can get a handle on caring for them so that they stay so amazing! As someone who is obsessed with mustard and wears it all the time- I can tell you I always end up wearing mustard / yellow for weddings and I don’t think it’s too much! It’s bright and summery! X
