Strange thing is, if you plug your ACOUSTIC guitar into this pedal, it sounds EXACTLY like a '59 Les Paul through a Marshall stack, cranked to 11 ! Amazing !

I actually just came back to this video for this rendition of Stairway.

I come for the info on the pedals. I stay for the tasteful artistic guitar playing. Bravo!

Came here to check out the pedal, but stayed for the FANTASTIC playing. Well done, sir.

I bought one last night. single pickups are the way to go. however, me and a bunch of guitar store employees experimented with this micro pedal. we were so blown away to hear a super aggressive pair of active EMG 7 string pickups become tame, gentle, and lush. one guy even said, "i thought you were playing a hollow body arch top" for me, this pedal shall serve as the ultimate clean tone enhancer. I have been chasing that sound for years; QUEST OVER!

Thanks for this exemplary demo: great playing and choice of tunes and phrases to demonstrate the pedal's capabilities. The viewer of this video gets a comprehensive idea of what this pedal can do - such a contrast to the numerous demos on RU-vid where the 'player' can't even get the guitar in tune and/or gives us the same two chords or clunky string bends throughout.

You do an awesome job showing off these pedals. It sounds about the same as the Boss one.

I use the AC-3 in church because I often have to switch from clean or crunch electric to acoustic - for example, maybe the chorus or bridge of a song. These things aren't going to fool anybody when used alone, but when combined with other instruments, the essence of the acoustic comes through. Seems to work best with single coil pickups, but humbuckers are definitely do-able.

Been looking for a acoustic simulator pedal and they all sound the same. The Mooer is the best for the money so far. Electric guitars will never sound like an acoustic guitar but I like the "mixed" sound of electric and piezo sounds together with this particular pedal.

Cracks me up people complain that these pedals don't sound exactly like an acoustic guitar, well NO SHIT. They are SIMULATOR pedals that approximate the sound. I think they are very handy and allow you to get by with a reasonably believable A/E tone without having to switch or even bring along an expensive and delicate box acoustic to bars or parties. And as for being nothing more than an E.Q. well they have taken all the work out of finding those settings and you have them as easily accessible pre-sets. Some of these units are better than others and it also depends on your amp/PA rig, guitar strings etc etc. At least from the video's this unit seems to be one of the better sounding ones and least expensive as well. Having said all that, I'll admit in this particular clip the player is not getting as close of an acoustic tone as some of the others so I guess one needs to hear them in person with their own guitar and style to see what works best.

I have it and i was verry happy...2 Guitars in one..fantastic.

Recently grabbed one of these off ebay for under £30. Tried it out a couple of times and was a bit disappointed at first. It gives a really nice clean tone but nothing I couldn't get with an EQ. However - I spent a whole day trying different guitars (Les Paul and various Strats) and I found the controls (esp: Level and Body) are really really sensitive. I expected the LP to give a closer simulation but it was too over powering and gave out too much bottom end. The Strat (American plus deluxe with lace sensor pups) was much closer, with patience and a lot of tweaking I finally found the sweet spot, not just on one setting but all three, it took backing the guitar off and the bass on the amp (Marshall). No it doesn't sound like an acoustic, but it does sound like an acoustic going through a PA and live is where you really want this pedal to work. Bottom line, don't expect to plug this in and sound like Dylan in a hippy joint in NYC, but for live work without an acoustic take the time to find the sweet spot, it's there..

Please make a CD of all the great songs you play in these demo's xD

Not quite an acoustic sound… yet, I do like the sound it does create. Very nice and clean. Reminds me of the large body Gretch or Epiphone hollow body guitars.

I sometimes use the integrated acoutic sim of my boss me 25 and it sounds ok-ish with the neck humbuckie..this sounded much more like I imagine an acoustic sim, but I guess it's mostly due to the already pretty clean and twangy tele sound..

One of the best if not the best rendition to Stairway to Heaven.

At 4:45 - needs to be coupled to a Mooer Tender Octaver to get that 12-string sound. Beautiful playing, as always. And the pedal's great too.

You play a tasty Tele !!! The unit sounds like would benefit greatly from an exciter pedal. 'Sounds convincing enough as an acoustic to warrant buying it though.

Kinda weird, but I think it sounds less like an acoustic guitar, and more like an old recording of an acoustic guitar - on vinyl! Might have to do with the amp-cabinet. Anyways, great demo!

I really wanted to hate that tiny pedal but it actually sounds pretty good

it needs a lots of imagination to hear an acoustic guitar in there. may also be because the intention in the playing is mainly "electric"...good idea to show sounds against something ,it let understand the effectiveness or lack of anything in a pedal or effect been auditioned. this is what my martin dsr1 sounds like through my bugera v22. Not the ideal acoustic sound, but a decent amplified sound and really, once the band is mixed over you the sound an acoustic creates in rock is as my friend described it "like a pitched shaker sound". You couldn't do mumford and sons, but alt or rock would be fine

hey mike...i watch your videos no matter what you're demoing so I can hear you playing, lol! I've a question for you: Where in the chain of a pedal board you'd place the Acoustikar? My set up: Tuner, vol pedal, wah, mxr comp, bb preamp, pigtronix boost, quantum, wampler tape echo, carbon copy. Also, do you use 0.10s on your Tele? Tks for all the demos - you're such a talented player you sound good through anything you hook up your axe to : )

The pedal sounds pretty good. The playing sounds great! Very confident, yet smooth and versatile. So what I need is a pedal that plays like that.. I think I found one! It's called "Practice." ;-])

It's really really important to know hat you're plugged into... It just sounds like a thin electric guitar, is this direct into the desk?

Does this pedal cut out distortion when switched on??

Is level knob for volume? or like a blend?

Great demo, may get one of these. The only problem with all these mini type pedals is that the smallest controls have no really visible marker on them - really annoying! The problems we have in the first world eh? ;)

Oh, God. Mike's playing makes me pay less attention to the pedal itself. I wish I could play half as beautifully as Mike does.
