what a killer pedal and a killer play from you Darrel, you never let us down! you and your channel has a bunch of information that we need. thanks a Lot!
Darrell Braun Guitar Thanks for reviewing this Darrell, I have eyes on this for fews weeks already, one of my fd even use this to replace Line6 Helix for his Tour, coz he don't want to carry a big heavy pedal, and this GE-200 is good enough for his tour, everyone said its the best deal on the market now, now seeing you reviewing it I am definitely getting one of these.
I had a digitech RP1000 and loved it, you should review and compare a few of these multiunits! The only complaint I'd have on this one is the buttons are so small... how are you supposed to select them when the unit is on the ground lol?
1:09 - That's what she said... lol! Jokes aside, nice review! That's a great alternative to a Helix-like multi FX at a fraction of the cost. Cheers from Brazil!
It’s interesting for me that at nearly 70 y/o and having gigged since the late 60’s, even the simplest multi effects rigs feel like going down a very confusing rabbit hole. But then I’m drawn to minimalism in all things, so…😎
Great to hear about someone who’s rocking it for so long keeping in touch with modern gear and even trying to make it out. I can not imagine if I grown up with amp and cable and maybe wah or some fuzz would be thinking about this modern modeling and processing stuff. Cheers mate.
I'm a fan of these multi-effect pedals. Mine is the Zoom G3xn based on side by side sound comparisons from RU-vid. But I do believe in these things and love mine. Saves you mega bucks in buying pedals and amps. The chain ordering features are really cool for tweaking.
Poo 1, Poo 2... maybe a hyphen between the P and the preset number might keep my inner child from giggling. Interesting pedal and great video as usual!
How does the GE 200 fare to the GE 100 sound wise? How would you rate it against the zoom g-pedals in features and sounds? I like mooers ana delay, I was curious on the sound quality in a multi unit. Thanks
A very compact, solid and gorgeous mooer crunchier one of my favorite site from Darrell the king of all them all congratulations and many thanks for your value information
I have 2 of the Boss GT-1, among other modelers and MFX. I've really been wanting to try this unit but no one around here carries it. The GE200 is a direct competitor to the GT-1... even the functionality is essentially the same. I applaud you for giving this to a Patreon supporter. But, hey, if you change your mind and just want to give (or sell) it to me... I can keep a secret. ;-)
I know, DaddyO. Price aside, these two MFX units are essentially the same in terms of features and functionality. I suspect Mooer have to charge more for theirs because they don't have the market or reach of Roland/Boss so can't afford to have as low a profit margin per unit. I think the GT-1 sounds great but my hope was the GE200 would sound even better. I can't know that, though, unless I can spend a few days with the Mooer and compare them head to head with my own patches.
Marc Cote I i used to play with a guy that had an ME-80.... Got some SERIOUS sound out of that thing, but was it ever a complicated piece of gear to work with.
It's more complex than having some pedals on the floor in front of me but that's alright... I genuinely enjoy the process of creating patches. I'm a tech-head who likes diving into the gear. I've been messing with MFX since the Roland GP8. Before that it was pedals but since that Roland unit it's been one MFX and/or modeler after another.
well designed Mooer!! And thanks a lot Darrell, this the best Mooer Ge200 demo, very thorough and clear, well done!! Actually there is one more feature called 'MERGE', combined with the CTRL footswitch, it become even more versatile.
I have a ge100 and the tones are fn amazing...honestly can't be happier with a 3 min looper included. The drive selections are phenomenal and the other effects are extremely usable. My buddies always ask what im using and its always mooer ge100. If it broke im buying another one.
@@nuthinbutlove It's held up extremely well, I recently let a buddy borrow it because I purchased the Mooer GE150 and have been jamming with it at home recording some stuff.
@@elhombredelsuelo4720 Yes you won't be disappointed with it, as it seriously does it all. The only thing is the drum machine doesn't automatically sync up with the looper. But it has made me a better player, having to synchronize the drums & looper manually. You'll love it!
Pinch loaf I currently have a boss gt1 along with my peavey revolution 112 Sheffield. But just cannot get the sound I want from it, just end up using the unbuild lead channel of my amp instead for my metal tones(which is pretty much all I play)
The amp models in GE200 is amaizing, the sound qulaity is excellent and almost 85% as good as a helix and striving to be Fractal like....with GE300, if they stick to 24bit but augment the Frequency response from 44hrz like fractal audio it maybe done...
Great product presentation Darrell. I have a mini pedals pedalboard from Mooer, and I love It. But this New pedalboard have much more effects in a very small package. I would love to win this amazing pedalboard.
A nice option, I'm looking for a multi-effects solution. I was going for an interface with ipad connection, so I could use an app for processing. My concern with apps is the lag, but the advantage is that I can use it for bass and acoustic guitar as well. Usually multi-effects pedals like this have really low lag but are dedicated to each instrument. If I could find one that can work with all three instruments, I would certainly get it.
Hey Darrell, thanks a lot. Love your YT-Videos. Even if its just a very little you are my first patreon project. Enjoyed your comparisons with blind tests so much as long as your mods. Helped me a lot in refresh my old guitar(s). Would love to see you reviewing some things like BluGuitar Amp1 / Remote 1 and maybe BluBox Cab-Sim for amps and Duesenberg HSC Single Twin and SD SH-3 Stag Mag for Pickups. Would be interesting what these things can deliver with a player like you.. and there are so view YT-Videos on this. Especially for the mentioned PU's... sorry for my English. Kind regards from Germany
Thanks again son, I don’t know how you do it but you come up with the neatest stuff to show us and save us some cash. This pedal looks like something I could use! Not so many buttons to get confused. Anyone looking for a pod Six HD 500 X? Not very used, lots of buttons, knobs, and things I can’t figure out what they do. LOL. Again thank you for your efforts and time and YES Black beauty looks great and sounds sweet. Enjoy your week. Most sincerely, Pops.
Really impressed by this device, it sounds so clean and pure and seems to be really easy to use! It would also be the perfect birthday gift for a student who turns 25 at the end of june.. ;)
This is a great little pedal. The one negative I would mention is that when the tap/ctrl button is in tap mode, there's an audible on/off noise at the rate of the tap. Not at gig volumes, but pretty annoying thru my headphones
It's basically a bigger and better version of the GE100, which is what I use with my Fender Champ 20. I'm intrigued to learn there'll be a GE300. That one should be really awesome. It might also cause MOOER to lower the price of the GE200 to where I could afford to upgrade to it .;)
Lot of features, it's got a pretty good tone for leads. I would use this at home for practice. The one that's coming out later this year sounds like a better deal for live performances if it's going to have better channel access. Thanks!
I love mine, I actually gave up my Helix for this, the Helix was way more than I needed, this does exactly what I need. They just need to come up with a asio driver specific for it
Thanks for the demo - I appreciate it! Also, very nice to see a little clearer explanation of the CTL switch and its functions. It's nice that you're able to assign different effects to be activated. It gives you more control and versatility. You can easily combine a Clean/distorted patch - great! You say that you haven't really seen other multi effects doing the CTL/Assign features, but I don't know how much you've been playing with the Boss multi effects processors? They feature some more advanced CTL/Assign options, than what this Mooer does :-) Anyway, thanks for this! Cheers :-)
Great video as always Darrell. Nice to see how easy to use that unit is. I bought a zoom 3GNx instead a few months ago but I'm wondering if the ease of use of this unit might lend advantages. It would be great if you could somehow compare these two!
Nazmo King I have the g5n and I can say that although it might be hard in the beginning it gets very fast and easy after a while. Also I think you can edit it via the pc, at least the g5n can... and don't forget to update the firmware to 3.0 😁
Someone should make one of these that has a few small famous circuits physically built in along with all the digital stuff. Like a ts-808 circuit, klon circuit, rat circuit, big muff, and then all the digital stuff. It wouldn't be that much harder to make.
Ok, my household is new to guitars... and I've been looking at pedals a lot in the last few months.... I'd love something like a real pedalboard, or the Headrush, and a big Boss RC300 looping station someday.... but for now I've been looking into starter stuff, such as a good tuner pedal, a drive or 2, reverb, and ...? For the cost of a tuner, Drive, and maybe one reverb/delay, or less....there are a few multi-effects that would seem to be great while we are still learning..... Would you say this one is a much better choice than the GE100 Mooer pedal? Any others i should look at in the $300 and under range? New subscriber, and I'll go through your channel some more this evening ....
That is amazing for $300 bucks. With how easy everything is laid out. Right price range for me. I want a Helix but I can't justify the price for me just messing around at home.
Cool device, very nice vdo..like that thing..plays in a league or even superiour to Boss Gt 001 or G3N !.. Darell could I encourage you to make a short demo on your little Fender amp, where you replaced the speaker recently with this Mooer 200 see whether the amp itself is (usually) no so super sounding when playing crunch ( mine sound like you push a rock thru a saw blade, but I can play clean nicely and it is loud enough)...these little amps come for many as a jump start kit, would it be feasible to make a serious sound machine or signal chain ( on budget) with a combination of these two devices? ( may be played with an Squier or Epi)
Looks like a flimsier take of the older gem box iii from joyo, which had also xlr balanced outputs and greater connectivity, without mentioning the sturdiness.
Amazing playing in the intro, those harmonics were nasty! Can you do a video on how to get these, mine always sound weak unless I really crank the distortion all the way.
Hello brother...how are you!! I got a Mooer ge 200 in my hand just 2 day's back. I am using a black star fly 3 amp with a external 3watt fly 3 cabinet for practice in my room. But i am not satisfy with the sound. Can you please advice me that how can i get some good riff, lead and accoustic tone from mooer ge 200???
