Hi folks, Heres my first look into the Mooer SD75 - just scratching the surface of this feature packed amp. But i just wanted to know how good are some of my 'go to' tones and whats the built in looper and drum machine like. Overall this is a great amp with plenty of useful tools.
Like i say in the video, I dont think it sounds better then the mighty Boss Katana. But its not night and day, theres still plenty of nice tones available. Just 2 different amps :)
This Amp Is 40% OFF on my reverb shop: reverb.com/uk/item/40459863-m...
Thanks for watching!

To be fair it looks and sounds a nice little amp . The looper on it is a big bonus too !

Its a great tool for someone trying to improve on impro and general timing. Practising to a metronome is great - but boring lol.

Seems to sound pretty good with so many fun features, especially for those without the pedals etc already. I reckon tho it would be painful to use scrolling through screens and so on, when you just wanna play. But hey, a small inconvenience for an array of features at a decent price point. And what will happen is over time the features will increase, prices won't go up as the Chinese totally know how to smash these things out. Once the circuits are down they are super cheap to duplicate. Times have never been better for a guitarist, especially those early in their journey that can get a lot for not too much. Cheers. 🎸🎸🎸

Yeh thats my one bug bear with any digital modeller with so many features is there is an inevitable amount of menu tinkering. Whether its in the tone studio for boss, or here with the screen. But you can save presets into the amp and never have to do it again haha. Until you want another tone anyway 😅

@@Paul-D Presets I guess solve the issue to a point, it's still tinkering with an amp, but as you say, that's how it goes with these modelling amps. Main thing is it certainly will appeal to many. At its price they sure pack in plenty of features. Cheers man. 😎😎😎

Fine demo, but i cannot find plexi amp, or is it called different? What are your settings for the srv sound?

From memory (this amp was in quite a while ago!) i found using the JCM900 model and tweaking from there got you the closest.

I think I would‘ve flipped out if I had this amp back then when I started. Things like that are great beginner amps I think :D Edit: What’s the song you start playing at 4:30?🤔 (until you start with wind cries marry)

Hey ! Can I make the volume quiet enough to play in an apartment without much loss of sound quality, and the neighbors have not complained about me?
@Paul-D
@Paul-D 2 года назад
Yes and quieter still could get the 35 watt version

Hi, because this is a modeller. Can you use it with bass too or no? I had a Peavey vypyr x1 which sounded better with bass than it did with guitar!

Funnily enough i did try a bass out on it, and it sounded fine but didnt like to go to loud with it.

@@Paul-D thanks for that. I guess I'm just worried about doing harm to the speakers etc. I know there are some Amps that are designed for it.. and I've heard that modelling amps are usually ok with both. But I can't find any definite answers.

@@BeckonTheWyrd you can hear when it’s loud enough to harm the speaker. I play bass thru guitar amps all the time. You only need a bass amp for gigging

Hi, Does it sound very 'digital' or 'tube' ...ish?
@Paul-D

Hi, Its a similar thing to the boss katana. You think for all the world it sounds super close to a proper amp. And the effects are decent. But much like the Katana, if you get it next to a real nice valve amp, you soon realise the actual difference. Hope that makes sense!

how is compared to boss katana?
@Paul-D
@Paul-D 2 года назад
i think the Katana still sounds better. However if you like the features this amp has the katana doesnt offer then the difference is small enough to still go for the mooer.

Please sir, before you start recording the video make sure the camera picks up the screen of the amp.

Sorry, i did put the amp models used. This isnt a super complex amp and youd be able to get any of those tones in a jiffy with the amp model used 😁

@@Paul-D okay. Right now I dont have an amp. It’d be nice to have a all-in-one like this or maybe the Vox Mini Go 50. I watched several video’s about this Moorr amp but yours is a bit rushed through. You didnt really took the time to prepare. Also you played but a few presets and already concluded that the Boss Katana has better sounds. I am not sure about that because maybe if you took more time to dial in a good tone it would have been equal quality or better? For me video’s like these are important because they help me understand the amp and in making a choice. I watched your other video’s as well but this one is not the best.

I had this amp instock for a few months so believe me i played it plenty before and after haha. The Katana is the better amp no question, but this does have a few nice features the katana has never bothered to do as i say in the vid. You cant go wrong with katana theres a good reason its as popular today and still gets updates from boss to add new things.

@@Paul-D oh okay. Well, the advantage of this amp is the built in drum machine and looper. That way I have every important thing I need in one device. The Katana is nice, but then my first choice would be the Fender Mustang GTX100. Has a looper but not a drum machine. Maybe Fender will produce one in the future? That would be great because I believe there is a market for it. What I noticed is that manufacturers try to keep the amp price low as possible. However I wished they would something that’ll cost more but the quality is top notch. E.g. if Boss or Fender would make their amps more versatile for a higher price definitely people would buy it. There are millions of bedroom guitarists like me nowadays that want something good and compact
