If you're looking for a review or a tutorial, this isn't it. This is just straight up, no Talking, DFAM doing its thing video. First is a Techno style jam then moving onto more creative sounds. These sounds are all created using only the DFAM and one patch cable. There is a lot more this beast can do and I will upload more videos in the future.
0:00 - Techno jam starts
10:15 - Morph to next section
15:30 - Gritty bass sound
16:50 - Detuned basses
18:06 - VCO2 out patched to VCO1 in (FM basses)
19:50 - Zaps
20:50 - Tempo increase to audible rate

Hey fellow Mooger. I have and still am thinking about the DFAM so want to get one when funds allow. Sounds awesome and very versatile. One day soon! Thanks for sharing this great to see and hear what it can do.

Ahhhh the joys of DFAM, and then I got the Mother 32.......They are a match made in heaven (ok Asheville, NC), but you get the point.

To be honest.... I am glad I have both. I will eventually get another one of each, but have a few other bucket list toys first. I love the sound of the Mother 32. I have used is as a mono-synth via midi with my Novation Bass Station II as the controller and there is nothing like that sound. I wish the DFAM had midi implementation.

Easily a techno machine. I have so many synths and drum-machines. Looks like my bank account is going to be 600 dollars poorer. Lovely stuff !

Great! Can you play exactly the same sound twice with a Dfam? I need hardware to play mental loops hard tekno style. Which hardware do you recommend?

You can't save presets so you have to repatch it every time. Maybe look at a Digitakt?

i'd say analog gear is not the way to go if you want to reproduce the same sound twice. DFAM is perhaps one of the most dynamic pieces out there too, so i definitely wouldn't recommend it

the beauty of this beast and most analogue gear is its spontaneity and freshness. While it is possible to come close with a preset card, an exact duplicate is not really feasible live because of the amount of time needed to re-patch it, also being analogue and subject to the universe, even a seemingly exact re-patch may sound different each time. Again, to me this is the beauty that is hidden in this beast.
