As a grown-ass 42 year old man who has been watching demos for damn-near 15 years on this mug, this is one of the best I've ever seen. So refreshing to see someone skip the formalities (for F's sake, we know all the features already) explore the sounds to the very edge of a synth's capabilities, all while shutting the fuck up the entire time. Bravo Knobs.

I just completed my Nurse Practitioner program on April 26th. I told my wife I wanted one of these when I was done. I have waited, I have watched, I have test drove.......this video has pushed me over the top!! I......cannot......wait! Great video as always. I think the Red Means Recoding guy who commented could not have called it better when he stated the synth being made for you. I really dig this.

usually when watching synth videos I sift through them to find specific sounds that I like. but with this and the grandmother, it seems there isn't a bad sound they can make. the look and sound is just so enchanting. hope I can get my hands on one some day.

Pretty damn brilliant. There are some sounds in your video that I never thought could come from a Moog. I can only drool at a Matriarch, since owning one is sadly not an option currently, but you've inspired me to try some of these great techniques with my own (comparatively) modest modular set up. The Matriarch is a masterpiece, and this video is a masterclass. Moog's engineers totally nailed it in creating a wildly versatile synth that can be as simple or as complex as you feel like. The one constant - somehow, every note sounds musical and vibey. Thanks Knobs for the incredible patches - can't wait to spend this weekend breathing new life into my Matriarch!

you can do almost as much with a neutron and it costs 1/8th of the price.

@@wesleyleigh4063 I'm not here to hate on anyone else's methods or gear, but Neutron&Matriarch are pretty different. I almost always use Matriarch's 4-note osc round robin or 4-note chords, which doesn't exist on Neutron. Neutron is def impressive for its price, and I've for sure been tempted to get one, but they wouldn't be substitutes for me.

I bought one today, after watching this video a second time. I've realized that I missed playing a keyboard and also did not want to give up on modulars. Matriarch brings these two worlds in a beautiful (and very cost-effective) way. I'll sell most of my other modules. I call this not downsizing, but rightsizing (an old, terrible management consulting term reappropriated for a better cause)
