+Antandra No worries! Be sure to check some of the other videos we did covering the Minitaur: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NAdAudFTD3g.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lokBGk86pXE.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XzSZvMZF0iw.html
Does the oscillator 2 beat frequency maintain the same pulsing or beating between the oscillators regardless of what pitch of note you play (like the Sub 37)? Most synths beat faster at high pitches and slow at slow pitches.
As a new user to the Minitaur as of 2022 I'm wondering if setup with the plugin has changed since this viddy? I notice in my VST3 folder in Ableton 10 there are two plugins. One says Minitaur Editor-VI and the other is just Minitaur Editor. Also I couldn't find a manual for the plugin :/
Have had the MiniTaur since January and have yet to be able to get the Editor to launch using Windows 10. All is loaded etc into the MiniTaur. Loads all the info, lights retutnr to normal then Nothing. Any hints? No word from Moog support and followed the instrictions and installation of firmware several times. Any help?
I'm confused. I did everything you showed, got the USB to send midi to control my Minitaur, but when I load the Minitaur Editor into the audio FX, nothing I do in the VST seems to have any effect on the sound. Like it stays locked to the hardware interface and doesn't register the software changes. Any idea how I can troubleshoot this? Would really like to take advantage of some of this under the hood stuff. Thanks for the video!
What about when you load presets? Does the preset load or does the sound stay the same? Also go to Settings on the Minitaur Editor and check the MIDI Input & Output settings.
Whats the chain? I've had a mintaur forever and had it in my closet. Pulled it out today once I got a novation impulse. I downloaded firmware 2.1.1, and the editor, but noticed there are no presets in the editor......but my question again is what is the cable chaining? Currently have novation usb into comp and midi out/in from novation to minitaur. Midi is quite annoying. Any help is appreciated.
+liveguy The presets should show up in the editor, you may have to go to the 'Preset Manager' and import the bank if they're not showing at all. My chaining - USB from the Minitaur to my Macbook, via a USB hub. Balanced jack from the MInitaur to my Soundcraft desk, and then summed into the Apogee Duet. Are you using Logic? Maybe this video will help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u9NlmGsCiiw.html
+ADSR Music Production Tutorials thanks for the lead. I pretty much have a similar setup. I use mpc and synth. I only use my duet for overall comp sound and when I'm sending tracks 2 at a time from my mpc into logic to mix the whole beat. I saw that the presets were in the preset manager so I'll figure that out. Thanks again.
Do you know if its possible to access the presets from a midi controller? Im planning on controlling it with a Digitone. If not, I think I'll have to go with the Toraiz AS-1.
+ADSR Music Production Tutorials Sorry, should have been way more specific, haha. The note calibration is what I'm referring to. So that the Minitaur is actually 'in tune' with other live instruments.
+itsmeadows Have you seen this thread on the Moog forum? There's a couple of suggestions here that may help: forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=14211
+Jorn Nieuwenhuis I love it, I know what people say about emulations and the sound quality of soft synths these days, but to me nothing sounds like a Moog.
