i hate ilok!! moog would've made 150 bucks off me instantly if they didn't make this require iLok. lets normalize the music community getting away from drm, please! this is so disappointing
It seems pointless and weird to do this instead of just reissuing the pedals. I have most of this stuff in my daw already but having it in a pedal is what made them unique
If there's analog modeling and measurements involved...your going to get a nicer sound out of Moog, period. Plus the signal routing capabilities make it more interesting than your typical VSTs. Plus from a business standpoint, if you've ever made audio hardware, especially in the age of supply chain issues, labor shortages, etc. it just makes zero sense to NOT go into software.
Considering that some these pedals are going for £700-£1500 EACH second hand (because people are just the worst), this ain't too bad of an alternative.

I love this, I wish they would have made them available for iOS/iPad as well but I'm sure that will happen very soon. Moog make really great software synths that never crash and are solid. The Model D is a great softsynth and unsurprisingly the best Moog emulation out there!! I am picking these up today!!
I assume hardware sales are going down, chip shortages, high inflation etc... I guess we'll see more and more hardware companies jumping into the plugin wagon.. Strymon just announced big sky reverb on plugin form... curious for the future. These plugins sound great, the ring modulator is not far from my real moogerfooger.
love ya moog and sweetwater (30+ year customer! but guys, just cause you have more than one camera.. dosent mean you have to use them. in a shot with your talent doing a monolog, you really just need the one, otherwise it looks like hes interviewing himself and is just distracting and wierd. Everything else A++++ :)
