He's the definition of what being an athlete looks like. Plays OF, SS, and 2B, has a great arm, hits 25-30 homeruns every year, and rolls out multiple perfect games in bowling.
That hop was actually really necessary as the man on second was in the wrong spot he should have been rotated behind the bag to keep the lane open to first and mookie compensates by hopping up to get the correct angle. Good play.
As I got older I moved to slow pitch softball lol. I was always a utility in baseball. Mostly infield. But love when u get guys and they say, "i can only play short stop"😂😂😂. Ya i find ss the most fun position on the field for sure but if u can play there, u should be able to play anywhere
He was drafted as an infielder ofc he’s good at it. Only reason he moved to outfield is because Boston had Dustin pedroia in infield when he was drafted and he knew he wouldn’t see playing time in the bigs as a infielder.
Does know one acknowledge Martin Prado, or Marwin González? They play everywhere on the diamond. Everyone’s overhyping Mookie playing shortstop. He’s been an infielder before.
That's what I'm saying. Like these dudes are top tier athletes. They always make it seem like such a big deal when people move from 2nd base to outfield or vice versa. I wouldn't expect them to be great at a different position, but most would probably be proficient enough for a game or two..
