We have a really eventful couple of days, first visiting the Glass House Mountains then an ancient rainforest and finally we find out that Australia is for the birds!
Hari Om Wouldn't class Mooloolaba as SE OZ... SE QLD, yes, but only East Australia. SE OZ stops at the NSW/QLD border. Golly, again, that place has "flourished" since ever I was there; that bird world and gardens would encourage me to visit again - fabulous experience! YAM xx
Thanks, I asked the girl before we went in if they would go for my specs and she said no. Van e.t.a. is now 8 December, I think they are kicking the can down the street.
Steve Erwin was a sad loss, he used to make me laugh when he’d show some sort of deadly animal or snake saying something like “and here’s the most deadly snake in the world, one bite will kill you” and he’d be poking it with a stick. I dint know about you, but one glimpse of a snake and I’m gone! Those birds were beautiful. You’re obviously having a great time, enjoy yourselves.
Another great episode. Pity you have to go home, but then again, we'd miss out on seeing your travels around Scotland and other parts of Britain. (and Europe?)
Welcome to my home town Mooloolaba. If you keep walking around the bay (towards the spit) you'll get to calm water and great barbque areas. Or grab a kilo of prawns from the fish shop at the very end and eat them on the beach better than fish and chips.
Greetings from Poland. what a lovely video. An amazing few days being with you. The birds were incredible. What an experience and by the look on your faces, great fun. Steve Irwin - Mr. crocodile. He did a huge amount to conserve Australias wild life. A genuinely nice guy. Thanks again to Jemma for being driver and guide.
Good to see Trish sings as I go in stressful moments 😂 great tune it could well be a hit Trish just need a black patch and a tricorn hat and your away 😂 enjoyed the episode - I think if we had a chance we would do a van trip having visited Victoria state
That was actually Jemma driving and singing, it was quite tight driving up that curved ramp in the car park. A campervan tour over there would be awesome, much like your NZ experience I would expect 👍💕
The first birds - the ones looking for food scraps - are noisy miners, a native variety of honeyeaters (not food scrap eaters!). They are right little buggers who chase off all other birds - not to mention other noisy miners.
I hope you guys are going to catch fish for yourselves ! Buy a $50 fishing pack ( rod, reel,,bits) . Get some bait from a servo , (pilchards, whitebait, prawns) set up the line( Hook/swivel/sinker,,, and cast it into the white wash water . The fish hang out in the disturbed water. Dont have to go much more tham 5-10 m.
Fantastic vlog, what an amazing day spending time with those wonderful birds, what an experience. We went to Australia Zoo Easter Monday 2006 and was very privileged to meet Steve Irwin, Bindi and all his family, Robert was at toddler on the handle bars of Steves motorbike. Glad the leeches left you alone in that rain forest. Good seeing the Glasshouse Mountains again. I never knew the origin of their name, very interesting. Safe travels and happy holidays.
Hi guys keep up the wonderful work whilst you are in Australia can you please upload some small video clip of how there cans and bottles recycling ♻️ scheme works
We are actually home now (just) our videos are a couple of weeks behind us. Don't know how recycling schemes work other than put things in the right bins👍💕
Mike I know how to spell Mooloolaba but I thought you guys were actually heading back home :) glad you enjoyed the Sunshine coasts hinterland and the abundant wildlife. Nice to see that in spite of our reputation you manged to survive your encounters. I think I am in more danger from your singing (or Gemmas) than from our wildlife - sorry mate..You need to be careful of those bush chooks they can have a pretty hard bite.
We're actually back home in Scotland now, our videos are a few weeks behind as they take a bit of time to edit. Loved everything about Australia particularly the wildlife. I just know that you really loved my singing but didn't want to admit that, but hey that's OK we both know the truth😉👍
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot Glad that you guys enjoyed your time in Australia it would have been a long trip if you hadnt. To tell you the truth I didnt really mind your singing it was just that I struggled at times to understand the words Probably just one of those quirks of nature that Aussies are the only ones on the planet that dont speak with an accent. :)
Hey Guys just for info. For some reason we are not able to watch your videos as it keeps buffering. However its only your videos everyone else is OK. Are you using high resolution recording. It may be uneccery high resolution. A lot of people don't own hd television and Internet connection may be poor. So it could effect viewing experience. Just for info not a criticism. Ps plays OK on our phone as video is compressed automatically and buffered. Cheers from old George and Jane
Australia... No thanks... Remember what they did to their citizens during Covid... A weird place, without any significant history or culture and that has become very expensive and ultra conservative.. And let's not forget the crazy creatures that try to kill you - albeit out of town...
But look at what our government did to us during covid. History and culture wrecked by colonialism of our ancestors and Australians recognise that and pay homage to forebearers of the land. Wildlife is amazing. We loved it.
