dude....technology has changed rapidly over the years. i still remember when computers were slow as anything. and the gameboy. now, theres psp xbox/360, ps1/2/3. windows vista is still relatively new...I'm still in awe in how fast everything has grown 0.0

These astronauts were pioneers. The courage to go into space at a time with little technology is unbelievable and what's trip brought contribution. The view of planet Earth from space is magnificent. the video is of great public interest and will be forever in the history of mankind.

This was a small step for a man but a giant leap for the mankind! Still valide statement thanks to all helping to make it happen. Viva e fiesta And I hope it helps to lead us to a new Farewell to Arms. And we may proceed into the trees in Lignano Pineta. Thirty years after it was a great pleasure for me on July 27th this year which was the 25th visit by a group of colleagues and friends from Hungary. Meet you on July 19th 2014 at Calle Mozart 1st in Ginestra! Boena Sera!

Today's radio transmitters are full of SMDs which brings the actual size of the transmitter down. When the Astronauts first went to the moon, this was not the situation, and every item carried had to be 'small' and 'LIGHT'...I wonder what the system was to communicate to Earth knowing personally the equipment we used in HAM Radio, IT WAS heavy! in that era and would add to the load on the system.

In July of 1969 a ham radio operator and amateur radio-astronomer by the name of Larry Baysinger, W4EJA, accomplished an amazing feat. He independently detected radio transmissions from the Apollo 11 astronauts on the lunar surface. Fortunately, his accomplishments were recorded by Glenn Rutherford, a young reporter for the Louisville (Kentucky) Courier-Journal.

SixDrops The lunar surface is very bright - cameras have to adjust their exposure to allow less light to enter the lens so that the surface is visible. however, dimmer objects (like stars) can’t be seen.

Because it’s fake, sometimes the astronauts say you can’t see the stars with your eyes, some say you can, most of them refuse to swear on the Bible that they even walked on the moon, one of them even threatened to call the CIA and have someone waxed for asking about the video that was accidentally recorded on the mission to the moon showing Ben faking a shot of earth by using the round window and taking the photo from low earth orbit, stuff like that wouldn’t happen if they actually went to the moon

Now change the exposure to something like f2 at 1/8 sec. Even though you are allowing over 500 times more light in, you will still be hard pushed to get a decent image of the stars. I suggest that you learn something about optics and photography or you will run the risk of making a fool of yourself!

THE APOLLO MISSIONS SERVED A PURPOSE BACK THEN. NASA NEVER LANDED HUMANS ON THE MOON. MANY MANY ENGINEERS NOW FIGURE THIS OUT AFTER A FEW DAYS. ITS A JOKE NOW ABOUT REAL VERSUS THE APOLLO MISSIONS. APOLLO WAS BRILLIANT, AMERICA NEEDED IT AT THE TIME. THEY KNEW IT WOULD NOT STAND THE TEST OF TIME AND FUTURE TECH, THEY JUST FIGURED WE WOULD HAVE A BASE PROGRAM THERE AND THIS WOULD NOT MATTER.

A real-time camera would be very expensive to send to the moon and maintain without any humans operating it. Also, I think the moon lander left the moon a long time ago.
@MrLWizzle
@MrLWizzle 13 лет назад
There are several different reasons. First, the Hubble telescope can't be directed to the moon because the instruments would be fried. The telescope is made to pick up very faint objects and something as bright as the moon would damage the detectors.
@MrLWizzle
@MrLWizzle 13 лет назад
Telescope's sensitivity is determined by how large the mirror is. A larger mirror can distinguish smaller angular separations. Even though the things left on the moon are large, the moon is far away, so those things look very small. Hubble is not far above the earth, so it isn't significantly closer to the moon than Earth. For the size of telescope and the distance to the moon, the smallest things Hubble could pick up is a football field. So it couldn't see the lunar modules anyway. Okay?

If you own a camera you'd understand why. If you have a DSLR camera (or any camera, really) then try to take a photo of the stars at night and you'll see why they do not show in photos. Try taking a photo of anything in the dark and you'll end up with a black photo, even if you can see with your naked eye the scene you're trying to capture in real-life. The only way you could get stars in photos is if you have a specialized camera with a very sensitive sensor and a good big lens to be able to capture faint starlight. Another way would be if you keep the shutter of the lens open for a long period of time, but then you'll get streaks of light in the photo, and not stationary stars (in the form of dots, that is). I know it is difficult to understand if you're not familiar with how cameras work in depth so I hope I explained it clearly.

Kevin B. That's right it was 100 % fake! They filmed that somewhere on the Earth maybe Area 51 in the Arizona or Las Vegas desert! Because they saids there's no wind on the moon yet the flag that they put up was waving it had a light behind it a spotlight behind the flag! Do you remember that? Or the shadow behind the Apollo! It was a dark shadow and you could read the Apollo spaceship letters on the ship! How's that possible? if it was in a dark shadow when the lighting of the Sun was on the other side of the Apollo spaceship capsule! You know what I'm saying? Do you know what I'm saying? Well then listen to this! And it show them jumping up and down on the moon! Now if that was true they would have jumped way higher than they did on the moon! Because you know there no gravity on the moon! And how come everything wasn't floating there? Answer is because they were on the Earth at some makeshift phony place on Earth! That's why!

For everyone's information: The flag appears to be "waving" because wire mesh was woven into it, without it the flag would fall straight down. This is due to the lack of air and subsequently wind to move the flag.

Even in the middle of the day the sky will be pitch black on the moon because there is no atmosphere to reflect the light, however the light from all the stars will be drowned in that from the sun. And even if it is night on the moon the light reflected from the earth may very well be enough to drown out the light from the stars.

Yes the stars would shine brighter but in daytime you would still not be able to see them. The reason why we can't see the stars here on earth during the day is the same as why you can't see them from the moon during the day. Now about nighttime, all you need to do is check the nightsky when there is a fullmoon and compare it to when there is no moon at all. You'll also notice there are almost no visible stars close to a full moon. And earth reflect a lot more light because of it's greater size

Lemme correct something, the process of "seeing" is the eye catching and processing the light reflected or emmited by an object so the Hubble does "see" 100 light years away but in a way it doesnt because the light it collects or "see" is not real time, depending on the distance they could be hundreds to billions of years ago so they see back in time. But Im digressing I know. :)
@Siddhartha02
@Siddhartha02 15 лет назад
I can kind of buy that, but the light do travel straight to your retina when you look at earth from the moon, and again earth reflects A LOT more light then the moon does due to size. However the most likely explenation might just be the sensitivity of the camera. In order to get a picture of the very faint stars you would get an earth that is greatly overexposed, a camera that would be able to take a picture of the stars would not serve its purpose under these circumstances.

Also, regarding Armstrong, he has talked about his mission at times, but very seldom. Armstrong us a very private person who hates the limelight. Because of this, he has allowed Buzz Aldrin to handle the major PR. By the way, I wouldn't suggest mentioning to Buzz that you don't believe he actually walked on the Moon ... he knocked the last guy who said that onto his backside.
