Moon Knight is one of the most fascinating characters I've ever seen. And thanks to some animated marvel series. I got to know him before all the hype surrounded it when this series was announced 👍
"Moon Knight is one of the most fascinating characters" Al Simmons (Spawn Comics), Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul), Vincent Law (Ergo Proxy), Itachi Uchiha (Naruto), Alucard Hellsing Ultimate, Griffith (Berserk), Hamyuts Meseta and Ruruta Coozancoona (The Book of Bantorra), Tyrion Lanister (GoT), Legion (Legion TV series and Marvel comic), Rosarita Cisneros aka Roberta (black Lagoon), etc ... are still way more fascinating and complex characters. I see Moon Knight as interesting more than fascinating.
Moon knight is also immortal. Thats one of his main abilities which also affects his fighting styles because of the fact he can't die so he doesn't care about getting hurt because he knows if he dies he'll just come back.
@@iliaPayne so what is that?? He’s immortal lol, being immortal is dying and coming back to life forever! The Egypt god khonsu keep him alive so he’s immortal!
@@suryaditaufan7285 there is a meme of moon knight just throwing everything he got and he shout “random bullshit go” i dont know if this is true in the comic or someone edit it
I can't wait for moon knight especially since things seem to be lining up perfectly for a midnight sons team -blade -black knight -moon knight -ghost rider (Norman Reedus?) -werewolf by night -punisher (Jon berthanal)
Based on the trailer his suit actually really different but pretty cool. It looks like the suit comes from his powers and wraps around himself like a mummy
Moon Knight made Taskmaster fearfully scream out for his god...that’s f*cking raw! This is gonna be the best Disney+ show. I can’t wait!! Praise Khonshu! ✌🏼
Well having a god as your source of power opens up infinite possibilities....even if he doesn't have all the abilities mentioned that....marvel can always add them over time
By the way: Moon Knight has stated he isn't a great detective, the only thing is that he has some sense of what villains will do due to his experience going against bad guys; but in no way is he an expert detective!
That's before he got his new personality which he got recently. His new personality is a full on detective that works with the police force on occasions.
"the only thing is that he has some sense of what villains will do due to his experience going against bad guys" So is Batman LMAOO they're both good at deducing, hence they're both great DETECTIVES. Or do you mean you need to get an actual detective badge to be one? Coz I don't see Batman having one either lol
And what law inforcement Batman was apart of to be a detective? You must go to school and be apart of team to understand how to be a detective. Batman has been apart of in law inforcement. Money can't buy you that. Some things you must be apart of. What did he do,study it online?
Don't forget his mind control/psychic resistance! Used recently in the currently MK comic, but also noted on marvel's own power's list. Being crazy and god influenced makes him really hard to influence even more. Reading his mind is also probably a bad idea.
Since I first read Moon Knight's Warren Ellis run back 2017 he has been one of my favorites character and knowing him more and what his potential is made him my Top most Favorite CB character and I can't wait for that Show now
The secret of CBR never running out of ideas?? His videos apparently made on one topic actually covers atleast 20 and can videos on them for next two months ❤️. Buddy all the facts+ details you cover in videos are just awesome ❤️
I don't think it will play beat for beat in terms of the origins but it will keep the core fundamentals-- such as his DID, his jewish father and upbringing, his brother POSSIBLY, Khonshu and his conflicted ideologies that he wants Marc to follow, and Marc and Frenchie working in a dangerous field together before his death
What do you think Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight is going to be like in his own Disney Plus Show in the MCU? Would it be awesome if we saw him with these powerful abilities?
Kudos to CBR. For a long time I've tried to better understand Moon Knight's history and abilities. This video did a great job of helping me better understand the character 🌙😀
In the comic I just read he had wolverine’s claws, Spider-Man’s web shooters, and captain America’s shield. But In that run his other personalities were those 3 characters. But still
He is wealthy from all of the soldier-for-hire mercenary contracts he’s fulfilled. Which also lead him to unknowingly fighting for the wrong side under Bushman, his near death before becoming Moon Knight, and the guilt he feels for acquiring said wealth. One of his main motivations for fighting crime.
Think he’s going to do his own different voices, and accents judging by the trailer. Will interact with himself as if he were different people. Should be awesome. So glad they got an actor with range.
Daredevil in the MCU, Moon Knight, Blade, Punisher, Black Knight, Dr Strange and Ghost Rider announced as well? Sounds like a midnight sons series or movie in the future.
Moon Knight has been my favorite while I was trying to 100% LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 since you can flip the character card and learn all about them and their first comic appearance
I disagree. Taking away Marc's moon powers makes him a better/more interesting character. I hope the MCU focuses more on his psychosis instead--this is what makes MK such a compelling street level superhero/anti-hero imho.
at the end of the day, it wouldn't be as intriguing for most people to see him fighting without powers. It wouldn't change much of the character at all, in reality him not having powers has never been a big deal for the most part since he is still immortal when Khonshu is inhabiting him.
@@saltified Completely disagree. Leaving him without powers would allow them to explore his psychosis--like does he actually have powers or is it just part of his delusion?? Is Khonshu real or is it part of Marc's PTSD? It could create a fascinating ambiguity while making Marc feel more human. It doesn't mean it'd make him any less bad ass--to the contrary it could be in part what fuels his brutality. It would make the character more grounded and in a way more relatable. And a lack of powers would inherently add to the tension--think the first Bane fight scene in The Dark Knight Rises. The stakes were raised bc Batman couldn't just fly in and effortlessly obliterate his enemy... like Superman fighting Steppenwolf :-/ It's the same with the MCU Daredevil series. Even though he eventually prevails, Matt doesn't win every single fight. He gets beaten to a pulp sometimes--especially in the 3rd season. The tension/the stakes, they feel more real. Vulnerability can make the character more interesting while also creating the perfect opportunity to explore the deeper motivations behind the character.
@@pj828 “are his powers real or are they delusions?” At the end of the day his powers are pretty weak compared to others and just add visual flare. Plus you can still make it unclear if his powers are real.
@@saltified "Plus you can still make it unclear if his powers are real." That's exactly my point and the direction I hope they take it! I hope they leave it ambiguous. From a character development standpoint it'd be a gold mine! A gritty anti-hero procedural crime drama with elements of a psychological thriller--the potential for them to knock this outta the park is palpable!! This potential would be lost if they simply made it: 'Welp, the moon is full tonight so time to get my Khonshu on and crack some skulls.' See what I mean??
I feel like the Moon Knight series would have something to do with Mephisto. Wanda-Vision did with Agnes and with the new Doctor Strange movie, I believe it would elude to all of that as well.
With Nicholas Cage we got the Ghost Rider but we got the devil which is supposed to be mephesto. So I feel like since we dropped the ball we might as well put mephisto actually in the MCU considering we also got dormamu
You have to bear in mind, with Moon Knight, it’s entirely possible that the comic is an unreliable narrator, non of his abilities or history or personalities are real in the sense most people mean, and he is in fact in the grip of some form of Psychosis. I strongly hope this is never clarified, as it would completely diminish the character.
Sounds like someone didn't catch Hush or The Long Halloween movies. (Fingers crossed that The Batman finally gives a Batdetective live action movie, though)
