I tried this recipe and it just turned out as perfect as every other recipe of yours! Chef, thanks to you from the bottom of my heart because now my husband calls me a chef too! And this comes from a doctor who never once cooked for 30 years of her life. Can't thank you enough 🙏
Oh do you even know the beauty of western cuisine, not only western but many other nations. Dude a person should be open to many cuisines, then he would be able to find out the beauty out there. I love Indian cuisine but I also equally love the western cuisine and its exotic flavours.
You didn't the context.. People nowadays are prioritising western cuisines over indians..this is leading to a problem. Young generation is now forgetting the culture, deep roots, authentic and traditional cuisines.. I am a Kayastha. So many of my Kayastha friends have forgotten JimiKandh now.. so many Punjabis are now forgetting the real essence of Saag.. ask anyone, who knows about it anymore in our generation? People know how to make Pizzas and all, but who cares about traditional recipes anymore
Western food is taking over traditional Indian cuisines- that should not happen. And why would you be offended when he is advising to remain stuck to our roots.. you may disagree, but why getting offended?
@@pritishsinha8647 - agree with you totally, every cuisine should be given equal importance and obviously you should not forget your own cuisine, but at the same time not forget the diversity of western cuisine
So literally my husband started watching your videos and now anything we cook, my husband says ‘let’s see how Ranveer cooks’ so yea thanks for your recipes!
Omg you read my mind !!! I've started making ONLY your recipes ! I'm a South indian and simple north Indian recipes like these help foray into the cuisines of the north !! Please do a roti / phulka/ chapati recipe too please.
Big fan Ranveer and i am also from Lucknow, so whenever you tell your stories abt lko it feels so good. And i have tried most of your dishes. You are the best ♥️
@laya Senthil you can watch video from Hebbar's kitchen on phulka, roti and parantha. ❤️ I'm a North Indian. Their recipe is just as like we make at home
We can find khichdi in every state of India east west north south each n every state cooks khichdi it is a dish which has the ownership of Bharat not of any particular state
There are so many good chefs whose recipes I browse through, but somehow end up cooking yours. Yes,your delightful historical tidbits abt every dish, keeps me enthralled
I've just now shifted to mumbai and today itself I made Kande pohe with the help of your recipe. Thanks a lot Chef for sharing all these great things and making life easier for me.
I love that you’ve made this video. Khichadi is my number favorite to make and eat. And my mother taught me the method you showed. We always have lots of veggies in our khichadi. Only change I do is that for sake of time, I do tadka and then add veggies and moong dal and rice all in one go. 15-20mins later, tayyar! Tho when I add veggies like cauliflower or zucchini, I add them halfway thru the cooking so they don’t go to mush. I also don’t use pressure cooker, only so I can add veggies midway. I’ve tried many veggies tho not spinach. That’s going to be next. I also love that you said dahi kadhi ghee achaar were must haves as sides. My usual is taak - I make a light version (1:4 dahi to water w jeera and salt) and enjoy hot khichadi w cool taak. Ranveer-ji... you’re the best! Thank you...
Excellent recipe for khichadi. My khichadi is so very bland , so now onwards I will only use your recipe. Thanks for sharing this interesting recipe. God bless you.👍😊
Initially I did not shown interest in your channel but I love it now. I just made it and came up good. Only change I made is I added basic garammasala while boiling the rice. Also added cashews in the oil frying. I did not know about you before but you are great and very practical. Please keep posting donot stop. You are helping millions of people. Thanks again.

Bahut hi badiya recipe hai, last night try ki aur sab ne bahut pasand ki, mein toh ye sooch rhi thi ki aapki recipe follow kr ke itna swaad aata hai toh aapke haath ke bne khane ka swaad kitna achha hoga. Lucky people who can enjoy your food. All my best wishes keep doing the same.
Your recipes are very innovative n easy too. The best part along with your cooking is the history behind it n your saying. Like in this video I liked the most is, West ki taraf mat dekhiye “ Kyun ki agar unohne aapki khane k upar kabu paa lia naa, to aapki astitwa k upar kabu paa lenge”. Best saying n best thoughts👍
Omg haven't had a better khichdi than this . Made it yesterday and it was really good .The whole funda of doing the two phased thing abt boiling and doing the tadka seperately was a killer .thanks
I have moved to germany recently and I can relate to everything you said specially “ pehli baar admi majboori main chef banta hai”. Love your videos ❤️🇩🇪
Kedgeree is actually inspired from Khichdi, or we can think of kedgeree as the european take on indian khichdi, it truly deserves world heritage status as one of the most loved comfort foods of all times !
It's not just comfort food. This is comfort cooking. It's like a friend is teaching you how to cook. No airs, no complications. Just simplifying recipes and making them look do-able! Thanks a lot. These videos are like therapy. They have such a calming effect!
