After watching your DK and fire mage videos, Balance druid (my main class for 15 years) loos very lackluster. I am not a starfall build player. I like hitting those Starsurges and blasting a single target setting up with cyclone and root beam. I am hoping they rework some things. Keeper of the grove treeants needs to have the same effect we had in MoP. (3 ents on a 30 sec CD, blasting wraths and rooting) IDK about balance next xpac so far. Its why ive been playing DK this last patch.
Moonkin still has a major issue that has been with the class for a very long time. The rotation feels clunky and punishing because of eclipse. Casting wrath or starfire to enter the opposite eclipse feels terrible.
Agreed. I wish Bliz would rework Balance so that you get stacks of Eclipse from using Astral skills, up to 20 stacks, with each stack having ~12s cd or thereabouts, low enough to be challenging to maintain 20 stacks but not impossible. Then make the Eclipse buff something like +1% damage per stack, +1% Haste per stack, and 1% damage reduction per stack. Using an Astral skill adds a new stack with max duration, but doesn't refresh the duration of existing stacks. The metagame then becomes rapidly building and spending Astral power fast enough to keep up max stacks of Eclipse. And the metagame for opponents in PvP is to prevent you from doing that. There are multiple options for Astral power generation in the Balance tree, so there should be some build diversity for this. And that seems more natural, dynamic, and interesting than the current implementation.
I think it should function similar to how it works in cata. It rotating back and forth is so sick and being in an eclipse is actually fire. Maybe add an ability like starsurge but for aoe solar damage like an arc. Call it solar wind or some cool shit. You could pick and choose how to get into an eclipse. Make lunar eclipse be far more single target based and solar eclipse be more aoe based. Maybe make a dot that stacks your damage dealt in that eclipse called singularity and it has different effects. Lunar procs more of a black hole effect that does single target burst like zeds ultimate and solar eclipse procs a supernova effect that does aoe damage. Obv in PvP these effects would have to be tuned especially the aoe but thematically I think that fits the class really well. Oh yes and add a sick sun spell like legit summon a star like greater pyro but it gets better damage with more solar damage or some thing. I think that would make eclipses really cool cause they’d be more situation based and utility packed.
@@5133937 instead of stacks I like the idea that you can build and spend a much larger pool of BOTH lunar and solar energy and then spend when a situation arrives. primarily what no one likes is that either locks the other out. Without really changing anything on how you use spells it's just the ability to pre-build without locking yourself to aoe or singletarget as that seems to be the divide. As of current beta status though that single sided eclipse feels... empty and wasteful. and they changed their earlier plans on grove guardians so they're not the caster grove guardians with multiple charges similar to how they are on the resto side. So you don't enjoy the buffs while they're up because your eclipse doesn't match the timing on the CD. that weird downtime
Blizzard: oh do you like the class you chose? The people: yes I do I have fun playing it. Blizzard: yea, let me fix that for you. The people: but it feels good and I have fun. Blizzard: yea we’re gonna have to fix that for you so you have less fun.
I love both specs. But I always loved the most the gameplay around starfall, even when it was not good and people were not spec-ing it. Chosen of Elune it is for me!😹❤️
As someone who also mains balance every expansion, I’m also super disappointed. I hope they’re cooking something before release or I might finally switch mains.
i'm disappointed from both specs..... Keeper looks pretty boring and the treants are so clunky to me, maybe if they put some random summon like a dryad poisining the target or a cenarius giving you some blessing like the trinket he drops in legion or cool spell animations, to feel more rewarded from the name of the hero talent to get procs and damage dunno. Thk god is alpha 😂
Supatease on DK, Warlock, Rogue, or any other class : "INSANE CLASS, UNLIMITED POWER, HUGE BUFF" Supatease on Boomy : "is it any good?" Dude trying to get other class nerfed and buff his class lmaooo
You jave to stop trying to have boomy sounds nice. Truth is blizzard has hayed druid aince the start of wow espically boomy. All these things are just showijg we are gonna stand still and keep casting wrate and starefire. Thats not good. Its cool we can get more fury but not worth it. We need a rework. We need more. Other casters just murder us and the way it looks thay how they want it
Moonkin suck and will always suck with this old playstyle.. DOT DOT DOT DOT DOT to start your rotation. This Starfire cast is so slow. Me over here blinking 100 times before it actually goes off. Rework this class for the love of god.
Nothing seems better about tww druid compared to now. Just really awful. Pulsar removed, choice node with sunder and orbit, astral power gen nerfed, align still at 3 min with 15 sec duration LOL, incarn at 3 with 20 seconds LOL. Orbital strike unchanged, and they give you back the longer duration on incarnation with a talent that is in place of pulsar. Feral is slowed down significantly. Wtf are they smoking? If the lock dev also working on druid? Please someone stop him/her, he's a plague ruining everything. I refuse to play druid in this state.
I played Moonkin in WOLK when the rotation was super easy. You just dot everything up and Wrath them down. I enjoyed Hurricane for AOE. But since then, you've got Hall Moons, Full Moons, Astral power. Too complicated. I enjoy Guardian, which is the easiest class in the game, and I enjoy Feral. Resto is cool. Moonkin is a dumpster fire.
No I meant that spells like these used to feel more rare to use and if you did so it felt rewarding. Now when you spam Starsurges all over again it kinda takes the fun out imo. Sames with Maelstrom for Enha Shammy or finishing moves for Feral Druid and so.. these rotations are too fast paced nowdays imo, I would gladly go back to like MOP days when you had less procs and finishers
@@betahumanxTrue. Specs just seem to spam damage now so much that it doesn’t give that good dopamine hit to cast a really heavy hitting spell like chaos bolt used to be. Now I cast so many chaos bolts that it feels like a filler spell.
Cast times fine. They need to make it like it was in legion. In legion moons were not steal based but arcane based. So getting kicked would stop arcane spells only that would be the best way to make it less punishing
