q is a magazine show that’s unpredictable in the best sense - proud to be “a wild mix of culture by way of Canada” as described by the New York Times. The Globe & Mail noted the show’s “raging popularity across a variety of platforms -- podcasts, television, websites, satellite radio, terrestrial radio, and occasional live remote broadcasts."

I can't tell you how refreshing it is to see someone who's clearly a very intelligent, talented artist, but also doesn't appear to be too into himself like a lot of directors and actors can be. Also, this guy's an excellent interviewer.

I wanna take a second to call out just how good this guy's interviewing skills are. Every question he asked had me blurting out "That's such a good question!"

I have watched a lot of interviews of this movie and this one is by far the best one. The interviewer really knew what he was talking about and really connected with Barry. He maintained a great pace and flow to the conversation. Really great movie. Really great interview.

I also love it how he references Tupac and his complexity & two sides as a way of showing the two sides of black male masculinity and ultimately life.

I’m going on a Moonlight interview binge and i’ve seen so many great interviews about this movie but this one has to be the best!! the interviewer seems to be so interested in the movie and intrigued by Barry’s perspective on this movie that we get such great questions from him and just great answers from Barry. When Barry makes another movie it would be amazing to have these two do an interview together again!!

I think of all the interviews I've listened to, this is the one that answered my questions the best and most fully by Mr. Jenkins; now I want to go watch the movie again.

OK. i saw the movie. AMAZING. i am tortured by black gay men, because I'm a single woman and I love men. What I love is the the story of the human condition and all it's challenges. I love how this movie infused so many aspects of life. One thought is how It makes me think of WEB DU BOIS and how he talked about how black folk deal with 2 souls... but here we are in 2017 and I think we juggle 3 souls... the white man's view of us, the way we see ourselves and the perceptions of others who are like us.

Being from Miami I love seeing or hearing him mention Trick Daddy and Trina. Not sure why, but it is just funny! Maybe as a Miami native, it is just funny referencing those people and talking about them so casually lol!

I love the movie "Moonlight" just the way it is, but I was wondering why "Barry Jenkins" changed the ending scene. The original screen-play was much more intimate. I'am wondering was it because the actors didn't want to do a intimate scene?
@tanika1479
@tanika1479 7 лет назад
He said because he decided the final shot would be of Little standing on the beach and he didn't want to go from an intimate scene with Black and Kevin in the bedroom directly to a little boy standing at the water looking back at the camera
@armonjerrard6590
@armonjerrard6590 6 лет назад
Personally, giving this movie a more intimate feel would have been a big mistake. It is not necessary.
@BlackRose-px2iw
@BlackRose-px2iw 6 лет назад
Exactly. The love, intimacy and deep bond between the characters was already very clear. The film didn't need an extra sex scene to "prove" or show that.

Definitely changed my perception of what the culture defines as a good movie. I didn't believe a frame of the third act. The movie is so insistent of the lead character the whole time that it can't help but WALLOW in it's victimhood. Grandstanding in the grossest way possible. None of the critical darling movies of 2016 (La La Land, Manchester by the Sea and Moonlight) are good, but this one is the most insufferable of the three, for sure.
