I love kid actors! They're often waaaay scarier than adults in horror movies lol. Audrey was so adorable in this, and she did such an awesome job. I loved Shona in this, too, and I loved how her and Jono worked together in this.
Dude, going full ham for stunts is the BEST. Jono's a badass for pitching that; it was a great addition! One of my favorite shoot days was getting picked up and hucked around on a crash pad ten times. :V
I love BTS vids from companies (using that more in the theatre sense, not business per se) honestly trying to document their work/process, and not just tooting their own horns. You guys rock!
From someone who works nights... Stick with "hello", it covers all times. Also, "good" and "morning" are contradictory terms. ;) LOVED the film!!! Can't wait for the trilogy. I want advance tickets.
This brings me so much nostalgia. ☺️ In high school I had friends in cinematography, and I'd gotten pulled into doing some parts at the last second. (Literally!) It's so fun playing the "monster" type of character. 😄
I have often wonder about the inspiration and meaning behind the blue moon and possibly behind the powerful influence, whether it is alien in origin. I did remember experiencing the phenomenon of the orange moon especially when it happened during the terrible firestorm we had in California, especially when the entire sky was completely a burnt orange hue. It was absolutely frightening.
Question for Jono! As someone who works with abuse victims, does performing in roles like this ever make you uncomfortable? I know it's fake but everyone did such a good job, it looked so real. If I were in your situation I would find it hard to compartmentalize. You said that you were able to believe that you're terrifying. I'm wondering how you can do a scene like that, considering the demographic you work with. Were there ever moments when it was too real? Please share your thoughts!
It's actually to protect the house while we're moving big heavy movie equipment around the *very* narrow hallways. Doesn't do much for sound. Credit a good Producer (Daren) for that little gem!
