In this weeks story 2 Moose Hunters from Ontario, Canada experience something strange and then frightening while hunting in North West Ontario, Canada. Keep Hiking! Base Camp Chris
Man thats spooky, I flew over the East Coast of Canada once during the day, most of what we flew over was completely devoid of any signs of humans, just woods, and rivers and lakes, no roads no lights, nothing, it's not hard to imagine 'something' lurking in there. Great stroy as usual. Love the show.
I was in Air Force Air Rescue Rescue and stationed at Plattsburgh Air Force Base, we trained in the Adirondack mountains. We also camped and fished out there. We are Not alone!
That's right. Unbelievable amounts of fresh water lakes throughout the maritime. There are places of the beaten track in Nova Scotia I swear no one has ever been unless you have a float plane or a good Argo with extra fuel. Cape Breton highlands is total beauty. Tons of brown trout lake and brookies
Im Native American. Mohawk. I was born and raised in Toronto Ontario Canada. My Reservation is Tyendinaga. About 3 Hours East of Toronto. It's on the Northern Shore Of Lake Ontario On the Bay of Quinte. We have many sightings of Sasquatch in the Area. I go up to Algonquin Park From time to time. It's about 3 hours north of Toronto. My Uncle saw a Sasquatch there. They're literally everywhere. Even Suburban Areas.
I'm in the same area. Algonquin is an incredible place....I had my own experience there many years ago. Do you mind my asking, what did your Uncle see there?
@@falstaff59 He saw a very large reddish brown ape like creature run on all fours across the train tracks in his peripheral vision. Higher in the front than back. Unlike a black bear which is typically black and higher in the back. Too large to be black bear. Definitely wasnt a moose.
@@rabbithole8592 Thank you, rabbit. I saw one in 1973, Lake Opeongo, in Algonquin. Jet black, about my own size (I was nearly 14 at the time) but disproportionate to us. Longer arms, very big hands...it had golden green eyes with round pupils. It was mid day on a sunny June day...about 35 or 40 feet from me for about a minute. Felt longer....lol
@@falstaff59 My uncle has been going to Algonquin every year for 30 years. He's only seen a couple of bear and one wolf in all those years. If bears and wolves can be that elusive, then why not a Bigfoot with much higher intelligence, IQ, And most likely a much lower breeding population!? They probably only give birth to one offspring at a time and only every few years. Each female may only have one offspring in her lifetime. Who knows.
@@Eternal_Soul1 I use to live near Square One. I'd go down into Credit Valley at 3AM and make fires. I've heard some strange noises down there. One night I was creeped right out and got out there quick! Lol What did you see or hear?
Another great story again Chris. I loved how you had a beer can o the boulder behind you, then poof a lantern. Have a Great Father's day to all you fathers listening to Base Camp Chris. Have a great week. Remember everyone Jesus loves you.
Happy Father's Day, Chris & to all the dad's!!! Thanks for the Sunday story! Take care & God Bless! We're hiking & camping on the ATC this week! We're so excited!!! It's taken us a year to collaborate( with some other couples) to make this happen! We can't wait!!! 🏕🌲🌳🌸🌼
Prefer listening to you rather than watching the facts by how to hunt bs , you have a cooler aproach. I like the way you show everyone the beer of the day completely oblivious to the wilderness around you
I am from Northern Ontario, and over 30 years ago, I had the pleasure of seeing a mountain lion in the wild. They are a very illusive animal, but they are there and breeding. They will see you a thousand times before you see them.
Base camp Chris, you never let us down, always telling the good stories! This past weekend I introduced my grandmother to your RU-vid channel. You got another fan.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the dad's out there!! Chris as usual your story telling is excellent!!! Thank you!!! I really appreciate and enjoy Sunday evenings with you.
That huge rock in the " spooky " swamp looked like the shell of a huge turtle surfacing in the water ! Reminded me of the turtle in the movie ' never ending story ' ! Love it !
@@cthuthu333not anymore. When I'd go to all their games, half the time I'd root for the other team. Sergei Fedorov was big back then and asked me to go to a party when he was at a bar and asked the owner to get me to sit with him. He had chicks surrounding him when I got walked back to this vip area. Yeah..no thank you. I liked hockey bc I used to play, myself. My friend was the one that was into him.
Chris, I'm sure your folks have told you how much rain we are getting in MN this spring. Watching you talk with all those mosquitoes makes me feel like you are right back home here again. Good concentration! I can't take more than a few minutes outside this year!
Thanks for your story Chris! Here in Argentina there are many sightings too of big foots, the local people call him Ucumar, are ocuring close to the jungle area into the Salta province, happy fathers day!
Born and bred in Ontario. There is so much unadulterated land in Northern Ontario and in all of Northern Canada. Northern Ontario is rich with myth and mystery as is all of Northern Canada. 80% of the far north is accessible only by air and water. It's deep and dark full of thick forests, valleys, Lakes, huge rivers. Most Canadians haven't been more than 500 miles north of the American Canadian border so it's a mystery to most Canadians as well. It's a place for hunters mainly...
@@tribeofnan888 I was talking to a native girl years ago on MSN messenger. So yeah, waaay back! We really liked eachother and wanted to meet. I asked where she lived. I forget the name of the town but I do remember her saying she was 19 hours north of Toronto! I didn't even know people lived that far north. I still can't wrap my head around it. I was born and raised in Toronto.
I was born in Niagara region but lived in Sioux Narrows for a year. It's by the Manitoba boarder and a 21 hour drive (19 if you go through the states.) That's only half way through Ontario! You could drive another 20 hours north and still be in Ontario.
Just when I’m getting scared of the monster I see another that we have all battled, mosquitoes, how many times have we all ran for our lives. Really brings it home. Thanks
I live in Eastern Ontario. Hunted all my life and was comfortable in the bush until one day. I heard the most terrifying unexplainable thing I’ve ever heard while deer hunting in November. I think about what I heard give me goosebumps and chills to this day. Anyways keep up the great work and stories.🇨🇦
Hello Chris 🙋 I am 63 year old female from the UK. I have stumbled upon your channel and I am hooked. I usually follow true crime, UFO, and stealth camping videos but now I can add Sasquatch 😊 I am working my way through all your videos and it makes ironing and housework more tolerable Your tenacity and positivity are great qualities and I live vicariously, through your adventures. I think you are very brave but I also think you manage the risks. Keep hiking Chris but also keep smiling and laughing you give people a lot of pleasure 👍
It's also a signature mark of a tree knocked over by a moose. So it could be a moose a known and proven actual animal of the area or it could be a Bigfoot. Since no remains or clear video has ever surfaced of one most likely a mythical creatures that shows up in the hallucinations of the scared and paranoid. I don't know about you but I'm putting my money on the moose.
I love how you hike into places to tell the stories. I would imagine there are times that you wished you weren't alone! Thanks for another great video.
I’m glad someone explained the beer/lantern thing! I blinked at that time but noticed a change and was too lazy to rewind! Thanks for the story Chris. Can’t wait for the next. Keep hiking!😊
Happy Father's Day, Chris. Boy that was scary! I'd fly out of there real quick. One of these days we're all going to be watching you and suddenly see something standing in the background which you would not see till you played it back. 😮
Your so funny & I love the imitation you did!! Another great video. The best day of the week is Sunday ....I look forward to your video every week! Thank you!

Well Chris, I finished binge-watching all your videos. Sometimes I watch them two or three times. Now I have to sit patiently for Sundays to roll around to see a new video each week. Thanks for the stories. Great Hiking!
Happy Father Day! Every time you hike out, Chris I always looking behind you to see if I see something. Thank you for sharing his encounter .stay safe !
Great Video Chris, I enjoy your channel So Much. Back in the early 80s, I was about 14 I had an experience in a friends forest which turned out to be the Most frightening of my life. Therefore now im 54 and on a continuous search for the Truth of what actually roams these woods we frequent. God Bless you brother

Beautiful blue skies there Chris, I love coming along on your hikes to see the amazing scenery there in the US. By contrast its cold and wet here in the 🇬🇧 not like summer at all!

Phew! I’m always relieved to see you get back to your truck! What a scary story! But a little more worried about you getting eaten up by the bus instead of Bigfoot this time! ❤
Even though I know you make it out safely, I still worry about you when you're walking those trails alone, especially as it gets dark. Thanks Chris, another good story... and yes it was creepy as you were walking out, mission accomplished.
Fantastic story, Chris. I would have been so scared. You wild west guys are made of something else. Stay safe our good friend and kind regards to you and yours from England UK.
amazing how Chris tells these scary stories that happen off the beaten tracks and then look what he has to walk through to get back to his vehicle!🫣😂 loved that background music as mike related what he saw to troy!👍
Another amazing post! Weird at 1:45 on that big stump it looks like something placed a huge rock on it but no man could lift that! Thank you to them for telling their encounter + his grandfather's encounter. Very scary! Best to you and your folks, from Colorado!
Happy Father's Day to all viewers. This was a great story Chris. You always select such unique places to share the stories. They are all beautiful. Thank you for sharing this great story.
