A while ago my landlords friends who ive met told me his wife wanted to learn blacksmithing, so they came around one day and I took her to my smithy and we heated some steel and did some practive, did an S hook and started on a leaf. Fast forward a few months, and they have bought some good gear from a fella, nice anvil and vice, and quite a lot of tools. Then they needed a forge , so my landlord came to me and I thought about it then I rememberd a fella who was in a blacksmithing group, made forges, I saw thme a few years ago online. His business is callled, Moosehead Forges.
So I contacted the owner asked a few questions, then told our friend, they ordered the single burner and as they don't know anything about gas forges we offered to go over and get the forge going for them. So yesterday Sun, we went over, we checked out this forge, from first glance it looked very well made, we were all keen to light it up. So I explained about the air gas venturi design and lit her up tried my best how to get it to a good balance and mentioned dragons breath etc. We got it going real good and in no time this forge got hot. So our frieng couln't wait to start hitting some hot steel. I had taken some bits of scrap to practice on, so I thought we'd start her on some techniques of going from round to square and back to round, It went good, She had some railroad spikes, and we thought we'd put on in to see how long it took to heat up. Wow in only a few minutes this thing was glowing. Very impressed. The linging inside is very stout, the outside frame is nice and good size, of course there's a nice big Gameco burner which are always good, I have one my self. So over all we were all very impressed, Hightly recommend these Moosehead Forges.
