Page 113 of the owners manual for technical specifications says “the engine is designed to meet all emissions regulations, provide optimal fuel economy and performance when using high-quality unleaded premium gasoline having a posted octane rating number of 91 or higher. It also says do not use E 85 flex fuel or ethanol blends greater than 15% in this engine. The use of octane boosting Additives is not permitted for use in the 6.2 L supercharged engine.” All that said is it still safe to use Boostane?

Was the ATI pinned on the side of the crankshaft? I have pinned a couple ATI dampeners and hate seeing people pin the balancer from the front side. Just curious how the builders for Mopar do it.

I have to disagree with you on one thing you mentioned. 1 oz of boostane per gallon is way too much!! I use boostane professional in my Durango SRT and have a tune for 100 octane. Per boostane website it will vary depending on what octane you need, however for a 16 gallon tank putting in 93 i would say you only need 2 oz total to make sure the fuel is good. You dont want too much octane for what you are tuned for or else you will lose power eventually if its too much. on my 100 octane tune for a 24.5 gallon tank I use a whole can of 32 oz. Even then im probably more around 102 octane at that point, but just to show that a whole can is NOT neccessary depending on your octane needs. Going from 91 to 93 on a 24 gallon tank I only need 4 oz of boostane professional. My tuner has checked my logs and not seeing any issues with timing or knock so its good!! Bottom line is that unless you are doing a high octane tune 1 oz per gallon is too much. If you are just putting some in for security to make sure its the proper octane then figure its roughly 1 OZ per 6 gallons of gas to go up from 91 to 93, thats even on the higher side but just rounding up to a nice number people can remember.
