Love to see the mopeds gaining popularity. I remember when these things were a common sight. I hope to have my velo solex ( front wheel drive) back on the road this summer.

Love these small bikes they give you freedom at a young age . Most fun I’ve had is on small bikes as the saying says “ better to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow .

Just watched this video and the Barber museum 2 hour video..Kick ass work brother! So much better watching these videos after a hard day of work than the trash on regular t.v.. I was just south of you by about an hour in Florida

The high school that i went to in Perth Western Australia "LOCKRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL" bought 10 motomcain mopeds in 1981 and 15 of the best students where selected to take part in riding them from Perth Western Australia to Adelaide south Australia, around about 4000 K return trip and the mission was successful. I was not selected i was a rebel child. Some bloody people call them scooters and they are not scooters because scooter don't have pedals to those who don't know the diff. 😎💪🤙✌👍😁 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺 Out of 5 Australian's 😁

FANTASTIC....in the 70s in England Japanese and Italian mopeds were absolutely everywhere...to be 16 in 76 was a true blast....mopeds and girls....oh take me back

We have tons of this small fun bikes in Argentina. Kids open their engines up like nothing and fix them with basic tools.

Hell yeah, we have had a 1976 Carabella moped for 20+ years love ripping it around the neighborhood . My Dad was given it for getting a guys GT550 running, which he blew up and gave to us as well.

Hi, from Slovenia. I worked at Tomos for 7 years 👍 we exported a lot of mopeds (Tomos AK Targa) mainly to Florida here we love APN 6 model original is 50cc 4 speed but you can easily tune it to 65cc and tune gearbox in 5 speed and you fly 75 MPH Greetings

When I was like 13 or 14 years old me, my dad and brother found three of the same kind moped in a junkyard for $15 for all of them. We took two of them and used the parts from them to fix one up. I bought it from my dad for $50 and drove it everywhere I went, it was a 50cc moped. I leaned very fast that a moped isn’t made for dirt roads after I wracked it one day after the rocks made me loss control of it.

I'm 49, and I still ride a 1978 Kromag - Puch Swinger 2, with a 70cc DMP piston port. ..Started with a 14mm Bing on the stock 50cc cylinder, and a restricted stock exhaust with no chamber, just now looking to move up from my 15mm Bing, to an 18 Bing, on this 70. She'll already do 45, at 16x45. 😎

2 stroke 70s are fun bud I'd never be able to switch up my rm250 for one that's for sure

Awsome videos and channel bros, nothing's like vintage bike finds and projects, pays off nicely, and it's awsome to find these hidden gems, the little mopeds are good little beer getters etc.

The "piaggio scooter" is either a Mk1 P range or possibly a Mk1/MK2 crossover model. In between Mk1 and MK2 they parts binned some together that are referred to as 'crossovers'. The crossovers are nice for racing because the frames are for some reason lighter than the MK2. But you can tell by the horncast. This one has the one with nice smooth curves. When it went to MK2 PX they changed to the 'boxy' style that PXs still have now.

Love me some mopeds! TTLX was my first bike.. had several in highschool and I've always kept a little bike since. Currently it's a rebel250 so not a moped but I still love em.

I had a Columbia moped when I was a teen .. better than pedaling to my girlfriends. Motor moved also. I currently got my farther in laws puch Newport ||. That was in shed since mid 90s. Fixed it for my daughter to ride to their house to care for her horses. Even in winter -no snow of corse 😂. Fun ... u can modify them & that’s ok ✌️

I was fortunate enough to find a Puch Maxi mostly complete minus the wheels at a local scrap yard here in the Hartford area, bought it for roughly $10 bucks scrap price. Engine is spinning free but it needs a full overhaul. A few friends and I have been nuts for these old mopeds since middle school and I'm stoked to get my hands on another one. As I said in a previous comment, these things are going for bookoo bucks these days, I could sell my frame and engine for a hefty profit if I wasn't so dead set on building a nostalgia machine to relive my youth lmao...

Rear collection but I’ve got a fully race built 1995 Yamaha MBK booster with a fully built stage6 setup polini race crank with a ported MXS cylinder kit Big stage6 intake with a polini cp21 carb NCY quick throttle Full stage6 cvt setup & a polini 4 race pipe It’s making 19.4WHP & 24bhp at the crank It’s beat some fast cars from the lights & hits 74mph

in finland we got tunturi pappa mopeds where was puch engines and tunturi super sport1-2 also and years ago by peoles learn to tune those really good

Unusual names of scooters, I've never heard of before. When he started up that black scooter, that I liked the most, that he had to put the seat on, inside, I thought that rear wheel was gonna fly off! 😲🤣😂....That thing was fast for a moped! That Mini-house, on that guy's property, looked real similar, to that mini house, on your Compound. That Repsol.Nitrous Scooter was sick! I'd be curious to know what the top speed of that scooter would be, using nitrous. The only thing I would be worried about, with the nitrous, is the scooter coming apart, going that fast. 😂🤣
