Just what I was thinking. I was waiting for him to mention more upgrades.

Especially in the US, as there we don't get the carbon buckets and there is no power upgrade (they don't even dress up the engine bay).

People seem to forget that OEMs pour in a shit ton of R&D into limited run cars like these. Just appreciate that they had the balls to make it in the first place.

@@matmul4850 I own a 2023 RS6. The RS6 GT is literally the same car with some carbon fiber body panels, wheels, and stickers. Not worth $100k (MSRP) over the base RS6. $20-30k more would have been a much more respectable pricing point, and I guarantee Audi would have made money. I am a huge Audi fan, but I am not going to sit here and simp over "R&D" costs for a multi billion dollar company who charges $900 for alignments at the dealership.

Times have changed, the rich have become obscenely more wealthy and making money hand over fist so they’ll pay these ludicrously high mark-ups. That’s why there are so many hyper-cars now when 2 decades ago, they had trouble selling the McLaren F1.

I think it's because average American can't fit in those.

It’s because the average American has wider hips than the car itself. I always have to laugh a little bit when I see Americans being angry about cars getting heavier but then they go and eat 12 Big Macks and weigh 600 pounds themselves. It just doesn’t make sense

Ugly wheels, same black depressing interior as every other mass produced Audi and barely any noticeable exterior differences. Anybody buying this is a fool.

Agree...was trying to think of the last time regular folks could get a sporty wagon. Maybe early 2000s. Subaru Legacy GT wagon? Outback XT if you don't mind a little cladding and two-tone paint schemes. Did Mazda ever make a Mazdaspeed 6 wagon?

Audi's air suspension on the 4.0T platform is the chefkiss combo. It's the absolute best highway bomber.

Because it's sick. What's the problem with that? I like going fast on the road and having something that looks cool that I know is capable

Crossovers are NPC cars that people buy because they are NPC cars. No one rolling around in a Rav4 expects a compliment on it. This thing is a 5000lb luxury car. The skid pad and braking numbers (0.94g, 170ft 70-0) are pretty meh for a performance car, and terrible for a performance car in that $120k price range. And if you use the wagon for wagon things, then it's going to always be full of crap that will roll around in the hatch if you try to drive enthusiastically. So these things suck as performance cars. And who wants to tear up their $120k luxury car by hauling plywood or mulch? Or even park a nice car in a hardware store parking lot to be hit by roll away carts (happened to me several times)? For the same price, you can get an A6 to daily with $30-40k left over for a proper sports car. Which is exactly why these things don't sell very much - it makes so much more sense to buy a reliable, basic-ass utility vehicle that you can drive through the snow or park on a city street without worrying, then keep a sports car for those nice days.
